I mean, when you walk into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that you’ve stepped into someone’s carefully preserved family home rather than a typical three-star hotel. The owners clearly put thought into every detail, and honestly, it shows in ways that matter more than fancy amenities.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep the historical character intact while making sure everything actually works for modern travelers. The rooms have this wonderful lived-in quality – not worn down, but genuinely comfortable in that way Italian homes tend to be. You’ll find little touches like original fixtures mixed with updated bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure (trust me, this isn’t always a given in heritage buildings). The beds are properly comfortable too, which I always worry about in boutique places that prioritize style over substance. Here though, they’ve struck that balance really well.

I stayed there during what locals call the shoulder season, and the whole experience felt refreshingly personal. The staff – and I think some of them might actually be family members – remember your name after one conversation and seem genuinely interested in making sure you’re comfortable. They’re the type who’ll give you directions to the bakery they actually go to, not just the touristy one around the corner. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense when you experience this kind of attention to detail. Sure, it’s not going to compete with luxury chains on amenities, but honestly? Sometimes you want a place that feels real instead of polished to perfection. The morning routine here is particularly lovely – coffee served properly strong, simple breakfast items that taste like they’re sourced locally, and this quiet efficiency that lets you ease into your day without feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a hotel that actually feels connected to its location rather than dropped in from some corporate template, this is exactly what you want.

  It was clean, bed comfortable , kitchen area very nice.

  What could be improved: Not clear how to unlock gate to get out of yard.
  We arrived in the dark and was easy to get in.
  There were no directions in book on table about button on lower left side of gate to press to get out.

  We loved this clean, modern and stylish room. The location was charming and only a short walk into the centre. There were super local bars and restaurants. The air con was amazing!! Lovely, lovely place to stay. We highly recommend it and such good value.

  The location is great, quite a beautiful neighbourhood, the bus stop is nearby, the historical centre is close enough to walk but at a good distance so nightlife doesn't bother you while you want to sleep. Nice and quiet.
  Everything is pretty new in the apartment.
  Good coffee machine, nice blinders in the room and a bathroom. Good tea selection :3
  
  What could be improved: The cooktop is listed in the photos but not actually available (not listed in the utilities), which makes the kitchen quite less useful. There are some basic cutleries and bowls/plates available.
  Electric locks are noisy. You can hear your neighbours coming to the apartment and their rooms.
  The lock system is super annoying at first before you memorize the PIN code. Then it gets even somewhat convenient as you never have to worry about the key.
  We had a little issue with the clogged toilet but the host resolved it in about 2 hours while we were not even in the apartment.
  Sily shower design with an open space that makes you shower carefully or water will be everywhere behind you. Not the worst shower I've seen with this design though, at least water doesn't overflow from the shower area – the incline is good.
  The kettle in the room smelled of vinegar (the one in the kitchen was fine).

  Very comfortable apartment. It has everything you need. Plus there is very nice courtyard with chairs and table and you can read a book, drink coffee there.
  It's few minutes from the top attractions yet in a quite area with beautiful villas.

  The location was perfect. It was in a beautiful neighborhood outside of the main tourist area but still and easy 15 min walk to most main attractions. It was also close to a couple bud stops if you don’t want to walk. The host was very kind and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here.
  
  What could be improved: Didn’t realize the kitchen was a common room but it turned out to be ok.
