I’ll be honest – when I first heard about 20Marchi, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name doesn’t give much away, and there’s this sort of understated quality to the whole place that makes it feel like a well-kept secret. But that 8.9 rating? Yeah, it’s completely earned, and I get why people keep coming back.

What struck me right away was how the staff actually remembers you – not in that forced, overly friendly hotel way, but genuinely. The front desk person knew I preferred my room away from the street side after just mentioning it once, and honestly, that kind of attention to detail sets the tone for everything else. The rooms themselves have this clean, modern feel without being sterile. You know how some boutique places try so hard to be unique that they forget about comfort? This isn’t that. Everything just works – the shower has proper pressure, the bed is actually supportive, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I mean, it’s not a massive suite or anything, but the layout makes sense in a way that shows someone really thought about how people actually use hotel rooms.

The location is pretty solid too, though you’ll want to check what’s happening nearby during your stay. I noticed it can get a bit lively on weekend evenings – not obnoxiously loud, but you’ll hear some street life if you’re a super light sleeper. Parking can be a little tricky during busy periods (there’s street parking, but you know how that goes), so I’d recommend asking about options when you book. What I really appreciated was how walkable everything felt – you can actually explore on foot without constantly checking your phone for directions. The breakfast situation is simple but done right – fresh coffee, local pastries, nothing fancy but way better than those sad continental spreads you get at chain hotels. They seem to source from nearby bakeries, which you can taste in the bread quality.

Here’s the thing about 20Marchi – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but it nails the fundamentals so well that you end up having a better stay than at places that cost twice as much. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, check-in was smooth even when I arrived earlier than expected, and when I had a question about local restaurants, the recommendation was spot-on (and clearly from someone who’d actually eaten there, not just read about it online). It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you picked well, you know? Not life-changing, but solidly satisfying in that way that makes you bookmark it for next time.

  Stanza climatizzata con bagno annesso, entrambi molto belli ed accoglienti (come da immagini visibili su booking). In stanza erano presenti un frigobar ed un bollitore, con a disposizione bustine per il tè, un piccolo brick di latte, caffè, tazze e anche un paio di merendine. Pulizia perfetta.

  Location was nice. 30 minute walk to city centre and bus stops nearby. Host answered to messages quickly. Everything worked perfectly. Lovely bakery Engi’s bakery is 5 minute walk away and they served breakfast!

  It was really good! The room is large and clean and the host was lovely and replied to messages quickly. Comfy bed and super nice shower.
  
  What could be improved: My only problem is that you couldn't fully open the windows, so for a longer stay with warmer weather it got a little stuffy inside. (but maybe that was on me for not fully figuring out the windows?)

  La struttura è molto accogliente e organizzata benissimo! Gli spazi sono adeguati e ottimizzati al meglio, c'è tutto quello che serve e niente di superfluo! La zona è molto tranquilla e vicina al centro, con tanto verde intorno. L'host è stata gentilissima e molto presente per qualsiasi necessità o consiglio. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

  Camera molto carina e arredata con gusto!
  Ho trovato di tutto in stanza saponi,shampoo the caffè e anche degli snack,comodi per chi arriva tardi o parte presto come è capitato a me! Ed é stato anche molto utile l’ingresso libero avendo le chiavi nella cassetta con la combinazione perché non sapevo a che ora sarei arrivata
