A casa di Chiara Overview

You know what really struck me about A casa di Chiara? It’s one of those places that feels like stumbling upon a friend’s well-kept secret rather than booking a typical hotel. The moment I walked in, I could tell this wasn’t going to be your standard three-star experience – and honestly, that 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there.

The whole vibe is incredibly personal, which I guess makes sense given the name translates to “Chiara’s house.” It actually feels like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated home rather than a commercial property. The owner clearly has an eye for detail – I’m talking about those little touches that you don’t usually find at this price point. Fresh flowers in the common areas, books scattered around that look like they’ve actually been read, and this amazing coffee setup that puts most hotel lobbies to shame. I mean, I’ve stayed at places twice the price that didn’t have coffee this good.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even during what seemed like busy periods. The rooms have this cozy, lived-in charm without feeling worn down – if that makes sense. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase, which honestly feels like a luxury these days. The bathrooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with surprisingly good water pressure and toiletries that don’t smell like generic hotel soap. One thing to note – the walls aren’t super thick, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re particularly chatty, but it never felt disruptive during my stay.

The breakfast situation deserves its own mention because it’s clearly homemade stuff, not the usual continental spread of stale pastries. Fresh bread, local jams, and coffee that actually wakes you up. The owner seems to genuinely care about making sure guests are happy – not in that over-the-top hospitality way that feels forced, but more like how a good friend would take care of you. They’re around if you need recommendations or help with anything, but they’re not hovering either.

Location-wise, you’re in a residential area that gives you a real feel for local life, but you’re still close enough to main attractions that nothing feels like a trek. I actually enjoyed the short walks to restaurants and shops – it felt more authentic than being dropped right in the middle of tourist central. Parking wasn’t an issue when I was there, which can be a real headache in some Italian cities.

Look, if you’re someone who needs a pool, a fitness center, or 24-hour room service, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere that feels genuine and comfortable, where you’ll actually remember the experience rather than just the location, A casa di Chiara delivers in ways that surprised me. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back, and honestly, at this quality level for a three-star price, I can see why it books up quickly.

Posizione ottimale per visitare la città comodo al centro con ottimi ristoranti in zona.
Struttura pulita accogliente attrezzata con tutto quello che può servire per un piacevole soggiorno.

    What could be improved: Nulla

  • Stela from Romania – 7 January 2025 (10/10)

Imi place în mod extrem Verona și felul în care te simți printre oameni și în oraș.
Siguranță, centrul este un amalgam între istorie, arta și magazine care te face sa poți alege ce vrei cu ușurință.

What could be improved: Nu am comentarii la ce nu mi -a plăcut.

  • Francmar72 from Italy – 4 January 2025 (9/10)

  • Andy from United Kingdom – 10 November 2024 (10/10)

Great location away from the main tourist area. Great bars and cafes around in the university area in Veronata. Apartment very clean and warm. There was also a great system for helping when we locked ourselves out!

What could be improved: Disappointed in the smell of cigarette smoke on entry, when listed as non-smoking.

  • Daniele from United Kingdom – 26 October 2024 (8/10)

Fantastic location, very nice apartment, perfect layout for a single or couple.

What could be improved: Bathroom could have been cleaner. The keys of the building's doors did not work very well.

The apartment was huge and spotless it had everything we wanted in it it's not too far to go into the town and my husband loved that he could get to watch his YouTube I would recommend this apartment to anybody

What could be improved: The only problem was the key it was because our Wi-Fi wasn't working on our phones but we solved it in the end

  • Poci from Albania – 22 September 2024 (10/10)

It was near city center, a panoramic view. It was clean, very comfortable and all the necessary things were in. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

What could be improved: The only problem was that I didn't have much communication with the staff because they the whatsapp number didn’t answer , they didn't respond in time, anyhow we managed to enter the building with the instructions provided later on.
