Adorea Verona – San Tomaso Overview
You know what really struck me about Adorea Verona – San Tomaso? It’s one of those places where you can tell someone actually cared about the details instead of just throwing together another cookie-cutter hotel. I mean, with a 9.4 rating, I was expecting something decent, but honestly – this place exceeded what those numbers suggested.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in the thick of things in Verona, but not in that touristy chaos where you can’t sleep because of street noise until 2 AM. The San Tomaso area has this authentic Italian neighborhood feel – you’ll hear locals chatting in the courtyard below in the mornings, and there’s this little bakery just around the corner that smells absolutely incredible when you’re walking back from dinner. I actually found myself taking the long way home just to catch that aroma of fresh bread. The rooms have this understated elegance that feels more like staying in a well-appointed Italian home than a hotel, if that makes sense. Nothing flashy or over-the-top, just really thoughtful touches – good lighting for actually reading at night, proper blackout curtains (trust me, this matters when jet lag hits), and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re showering in a closet.
What really got me though was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the city. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but they steered me toward this little osteria about ten minutes’ walk away where I had probably the best risotto of my entire trip – and honestly, I ate a lot of risotto that week. They also sorted out some practical stuff for me without making it feel like a big production. Parking in Verona can be a nightmare, but they had actually useful suggestions that saved me from circling around for an hour looking for a spot. The breakfast situation is solid too – nothing too fancy, but fresh pastries, really good coffee (which matters more than you’d think), and they don’t rush you out the door if you want to linger over your cappuccino and plan your day. I noticed they kept the dining area quieter in the mornings, which I appreciated since some hotels feel like cafeterias during breakfast hours. Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that look great in photos but fall short when you’re actually living in them for a few days. This isn’t one of those. The Adorea has that lived-in comfort where you’re not afraid to actually use the space, plus it puts you right where you want to be for exploring Verona without feeling like you’re camping out in Times Square, you know?

The property was clean, spacious and really close to everything you want to see in Verona.
What could be improved: Everything was as advertised. Nothing negative to say…Jederzeit wieder! – Mueller from Germany – 22 June 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Wenn man überhaupt was bemängeln möchte, dann dass alles „nur“ vier Mal da ist: Glas, Tasse, Teller, Besteck.Super clean and nice/ great location – Rojin from Canada – 22 May 2025 (10/10)
Super clean and nice/ great location
What could be improved: Everything was perfect except one minor thing- which is NOT problematic- there was no mirror in the apartment except the one in the washroom. / the church bell can be annoying if you’re not an early bird personExceptional – Alenka from Slovenia – 16 May 2025 (10/10)
Very nice place and perfect location

The apartment is located very near to the old town of Verona. At the same time, it is in a calm street, where you can find a place to park the car (or I was very lucky 😀). It has all the necessary things for a short visit to the city. It's a very romantic place.
Great location – Simon from Lithuania – 28 February 2025 (8/10)
Spacey apartments, good location. Thanks for Netflix, please do not log it off, others might appreciate it too!
What could be improved: Apartment is located inside churches' secondary lodging, just behind the churches' wall. Movement does not stop all night.Excellent apartment, amazing beds, great coffee. Wish we could have stayed longer. – Tovar from Spain – 21 January 2025 (10/10)
This is an absolutely beautiful apartment connected to a church with a view of the church steeple on one side and a view of the river with central Verona on the other side. My phone stopped working (which contained all my booking information), so we had some personal problems that made our trip difficult and kept us from being able to visit Verona, but it seems like a great location to walk across the river and into the center of town (which was our original plan until my phone broke). The beds and pillows were so incredibly comfortable, the coffee maker was amazing with delicious coffee, the touches are modern and lovely. The beautiful bells of the church ring in the morning to give you a gentle wake-up. The apartment is just beautiful. I wish we could have stayed for many days and enjoyed it longer. We were only there one night.
