Agriturismo Bacche di Bosco Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Agriturismo Bacche di Bosco, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name translates to “forest berries,” which should have been my first clue that this place was going to be something special. This 3-star agriturismo sits somewhere in the Italian countryside (and trust me, the exact location almost doesn’t matter because you’re going there for the experience, not the address), and after spending a few days there, I can see why it’s earned an 8.8 rating from guests.
You know what hits you first? The smell. I mean, you step out of your car and there’s this incredible mix of wild herbs, maybe some lavender, and something earthy that just screams “authentic Italy.” The family running this place – because it’s definitely family-run – they’ve managed to keep that genuine agriturismo feel without making it feel like you’re roughing it. The rooms are comfortable in that rustic-chic way, where the wooden beams overhead actually mean something and aren’t just there for Instagram photos. The beds are surprisingly good (I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly, the quiet at night is almost unsettling if you’re used to city noise. Actually, scratch that – you’ll hear owls and maybe some night birds, which is pretty magical once you get used to it.
What really sets this place apart is the food situation. Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of agriturismos where the “farm-to-table” concept is more marketing than reality, but here they’re actually walking the walk. The breakfast spreads include their own preserves – and yes, those forest berries make an appearance in the most incredible jam I’ve ever had. Dinner, when they offer it, features vegetables from their garden and you can literally see the plots from some of the room windows. The host family treats you like a distant relative who’s come to visit, which means you’ll probably end up chatting longer than you planned and learning random things about the local area that no guidebook would ever tell you. Fair warning though – if you don’t speak at least some Italian, bring a translation app or brush up on your hand gestures because while they’re incredibly welcoming, English isn’t their strong suit. But honestly? That just adds to the authenticity. The whole experience feels like stepping into a slower version of life where meals last two hours and nobody’s checking their phone every five minutes.
Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

L'accoglienza e la gentilezza dei titolari.
Posizione buona sia per raggiungere il centro città ma anche per riposare beve.Michela from Italy – 15 February 2025 (9/10)
Camera e Agriturismo super puliti.
Che dire se passate da Verona lì sicuramente potete fermarvi a dormire e mangiare e vi troverete sicuramente come a casa!Marie-helene from Belgium – 9 September 2024 (8/10)
Friendly host (who spoke little English unfortunately) – lovely building, big room, high ceilings.
It was just for the night, but it was everything we had hoped it would be.Çağlar from Turkey – 4 July 2024 (8/10)
A peaceful place in a beautiful garden. The staff is interested and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was clean. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.
What could be improved: There was no shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. There was only sweet food for breakfast. I would have preferred something salty and cheese. Construction work started early in the morning and it was noisy.Pavel from United Kingdom – 21 September 2023 (8/10)
Room was clean. Close to the public transport. Private car park. Close distance to the market.

A very cozy family run business. The rooms are spacious, everything is clean and nice. And the people are helpful and welcoming.
