You know what really caught me off guard about Agriturismo Bosco Magico? The name literally translates to “Magic Forest” and honestly, they weren’t exaggerating. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of agriturismos over the years, but this one actually feels like you’re stepping into some kind of enchanted woodland retreat. The moment you pull up the gravel driveway, you’re surrounded by these towering trees that seem to create their own little microclimate – it’s noticeably cooler and quieter than anywhere else I’d been that week.

What makes this place special isn’t just the fairy-tale setting though. The family running it has this genuine warmth that you can’t fake – they’ll remember your name after one conversation and somehow always know exactly when you need recommendations versus when you just want to be left alone. The rooms have that perfect rustic-but-comfortable vibe where everything feels authentic (those thick stone walls aren’t just for show, they actually keep things cool during hot afternoons) but you’re not roughing it with sketchy plumbing or lumpy mattresses. I particularly loved how each room has slightly different character – mine had this massive wooden beam across the ceiling that made me feel like I was sleeping in a medieval cottage, but in the best possible way.

The food situation is where things get really interesting. Breakfast isn’t just some continental spread with stale pastries – they’re actually growing a lot of what ends up on your plate right there on the property. Fresh eggs from their chickens, herbs picked that morning, bread that’s still warm when they bring it out. And if you’re lucky enough to be there during dinner service (they don’t do it every night), you’re basically getting invited to eat with the family. It’s that kind of place where conversations naturally happen between tables and you end up learning about the best hiking trails from fellow guests over a glass of their homemade wine. The location works perfectly for day trips too – you’re far enough out to feel completely disconnected from everything, but close enough to explore the surrounding villages when you want a change of scenery. Just a heads up though, GPS can get a little confused on the final stretch of road, so don’t panic if you feel like you’re driving into the middle of nowhere for the last few minutes.

  Sehr großes und top modern eingerichtetes Haus und tolle Aufteilung. SEHR ruhige Lage, alles für uns allein. Die tollen Gastgeber Francesca und Valerio haben alles gut vorbereitet, super nett und es fehlte nichts. Dazu die wunderschöne Natur und der tolle Blick auf Verona… Bei der derzeitigen Hitze war die bestens funktionierende Klimaanlage (im ganzen Haus verfügbar) natürlich ein Highlight. Ein Geheimtipp: das eigene Olivenöl ist wirklich sehr lecker und für die Qualität sehr günstig. Wir bedanken uns auf das Herzlichste und sehen uns bestimmt einmal wieder…😊
