Agriturismo Casa Rosa Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Agriturismo Casa Rosa? I was expecting your typical countryside accommodation, but this place actually feels like staying at someone’s beloved family home – which, honestly, it pretty much is. The moment you pull up, you’re greeted by this gorgeous stone farmhouse that’s been lovingly restored, and I mean lovingly. None of that sterile renovation work you see everywhere these days. The walls still have character, the floors creak just enough to remind you of the history, and there’s this incredible smell of lavender and fresh herbs that just sort of floats through the whole property.
The family running Casa Rosa – they’re the real deal. Not the kind of hosts who disappear after check-in, but people who genuinely want you to experience their slice of the world. They’ll tell you which trails lead to the best sunset views (and trust me, you want to catch at least one sunset here), where to buy the freshest produce at the local markets, and honestly, their homemade breakfast alone is worth the stay. I’m talking about eggs from their actual chickens, bread that’s still warm, and this incredible jam that I’m pretty sure spoiled me for store-bought versions forever. The dining area opens onto this terrace where you can actually see for miles – rolling hills, olive groves, the works. It’s one of those views that makes you understand why people fall in love with agriturismo stays.
What really impressed me though was how they’ve managed to balance authenticity with comfort. Sure, it’s a working farm, so you’ll hear roosters in the morning (which I found charming, though light sleepers might want to pack earplugs), but the rooms are genuinely comfortable with solid Wi-Fi – important if you’re trying to extend your stay and work remotely. The grounds are perfect for just wandering around, and there’s this incredible sense of peace that settles over you after a day or two. I found myself actually slowing down, which doesn’t happen often. The rating of 9.3 makes total sense to me – this isn’t luxury in the marble-and-gold sense, but it’s something better. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’ve discovered something special, where the hospitality feels genuine rather than performed, and where you leave with stories to tell and a genuine understanding of what agriturismo is supposed to be about.

Reviews of Agriturismo Casa Rosa

Property is part of a farm, a bit off road required to access it but worth the drive. Amazing view, very quite slept in a comfortable bed without any kind of noise. Breakfast complete with local products from the farm. Cheese and yougurt home made. Cappuccino still in my mouth
What could be improved: Small remark to the fact the host don’t speak English, but still make the effort and we managed to understand each other. My Italian improvedRiccardo from Singapore – 13 October 2024 (10/10)

Beautiful grounds, easy location to get to heart of Verona’s città antica, all the food served is grown/raised on or around the farm. We absolutely loved it.

Marco and his family were wonderful hosts the entire time, from start, to dinner, to finish. We absolutely loved the location, with birds and bees and lots of lovely animals singing their joy. The symphony of birds as the morning alarm was a gift. The room was nice and well appointed, if a touch small with our dog. The breakfast was superb, with plenty on offer and most locally sourced or homemade items (like their jam, salami and olive oil). Lastly the peaceful garden outside the rooms, with plenty of comfy chairs, becons in the morning and afternoon respites. We will not hesitate to stay again, as the value was spectacular. The rooms do have a/c and heat, but we didn't need either.
What could be improved: The bathroom was a bit cramped.
