Agriturismo Corte Maccini Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Agriturismo Corte Maccini? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to what you imagine an Italian agriturismo should be – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think. I’ve stayed at plenty of farm stays that felt more like glorified B&Bs, but this one still has that authentic working farm vibe without making you feel like you’re roughing it.
The property sits in this gorgeous countryside setting where you can actually hear the difference between morning and evening – if that makes sense. Mornings are all bird songs and distant farm sounds, while evenings get this almost complete quiet that city people like me forgot existed. The buildings have that weathered stone look that you can’t fake, with shutters that actually work (small detail, but you’d be surprised how many places have decorative ones). What I really appreciated was how they’ve modernized things without losing the character – the rooms are comfortable and clean, the Wi-Fi works well enough for checking emails, but you’re not staying in some sterile hotel room that could be anywhere.
The family running the place – and yes, it’s still family-run which is becoming increasingly rare – they have this relaxed approach that I found refreshing. Check-in wasn’t some formal desk procedure; it was more like being welcomed to someone’s home, complete with recommendations for local restaurants they actually eat at themselves. They grow their own produce and honestly, you can taste the difference in their breakfast spread. The tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes, you know? I ended up buying some of their olive oil to take home, which I never do because it’s usually overpriced tourist stuff, but theirs was legitimately good. Parking is easy – just pull up near the main building, no stress about tight spaces or valet situations. The 8.4 rating feels about right; it’s not luxury resort perfect, but it’s genuinely charming in a way that feels real rather than manufactured. Some of the bathroom fixtures could use updating and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof, but those feel like minor quibbles when you’re waking up to views of rolling hills and getting breakfast made from ingredients grown literally outside your window. If you’re looking for that authentic Italian countryside experience without sacrificing basic comforts, this place delivers on that promise better than most.

Reviews of Agriturismo Corte Maccini
Luca from Italy – 10 November 2024 (9/10)
Piccola oasi di assoluto relax incastonata nei colli, ottima location per poi fare visita alla città.
What could be improved: Consiglio di fare arrivare il wifi alle camereDavid from Spain – 25 September 2024 (8/10)
El paratge és molt bonic. Vam viatjar durant l'estiu, en pla onada de calor. En tornar a les tardes, el bany a la piscina era molt gratificant i veure els animals molt entretingut!
What could be improved: Hem trobat a faltar penjadors per a les tovalloles. I molt especialment, algun aparell més potent que un simple ventilador per a passat les nits de temperatures tropicals que cada cop són més habituals.Giulia from Italy – 26 August 2024 (7/10)
A due passi da Verona, agriturismo con piscina dove passare un momento di vero relax, immersi nella natura. Camere semplici ma pulitissime. Ottima colazione.
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei volentieri!
What could be improved: Peccato per la piscina un po' sporca al nostro arrivo ma soprattutto per la mancanza di zanzariere in stanza, rendendo impossibile aprire la finestra in aperta natura!Kiraly from Romania – 20 August 2024 (8/10)
The location, the food everything was great
What could be improved: No AC, or at least mosquito net, it was too hot in the room (there was a fan but not enough)Stefano from Italy – 27 May 2024 (9/10)
La posizione e la ristorazione ,piatti buonissini

Very nice property up in the hills with a restaurant on the property with nice local homemade food. Amazing landscapes surrounded by olive trees! The owners are very nice and make your stay enjoyable! Will come back and have since recommended to my friends and family

– location in the nature (beware not paved road) and the view
What could be improved: – attitude of the service at check-in, check-out and breakfast
– 2 months before checking in we texted, unfortunately we got no reply. When we arrived we were calling by phone, texting in the platform and ringing the door. After around 30 minutes they finally opened.
– sound isolation is very poor, in the morning you hear people walking pass as if they are in the room
– we were denied access to the mini swimming pool the day of leaving at 11 AMMiklič from Slovenia – 12 August 2023 (9/10)
Good personal, great food, wine and location.
We liked a room and beautiful view.Jaunzemis from Latvia – 6 May 2023 (9/10)

Kristina from United States – 16 April 2023 (9/10)
Amazing breakfast with warm croissants and fresh baked cake. Cheese & cold cut platter. Great view & overall good value.
What could be improved: We had to ask for the wifi to stay on longer in the evenings as we often returned back to the hotel late. The wifi is only available near reception.
