Al GrattacieloTrenta Overview
You know what struck me first about Al GrattacieloTrenta? The name literally means “The Thirty Skyscraper” in Italian, and honestly, that had me curious before I even walked through the doors. This 4-star spot has this sort of understated elegance that grows on you – it’s not trying to shout luxury at you from every marble surface, but there’s definitely something special happening here.
The whole place feels like it was designed by someone who actually travels, if that makes sense. I mean, the details are just right – thick towels that don’t feel like sandpaper, blackout curtains that actually block out light (trust me, this matters more than you think), and outlets placed where you’d naturally want to plug things in. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which you pick up on pretty quickly. During check-in, the front desk person actually gave me restaurant recommendations based on what I mentioned I was craving, not just the standard tourist traps they probably have partnerships with.
What really impressed me was how quiet everything stayed, even with what seemed like decent occupancy. You’d think a place called “skyscraper” might have thin walls or elevator noise, but honestly, once you’re in your room, it’s peaceful. The beds are proper comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete – and the bathrooms have that satisfying water pressure that makes you want to stay in the shower longer than necessary. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back each evening, which doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive; they somehow managed to clean around my stuff without making it look like a tornado hit. Little touches like that 9.4 rating start making perfect sense when you’re actually staying there. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, and you end up sleeping better than you do at home.

Anna from Ireland – 9 August 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location for for those arriving by train, and within walking distance of city centre / main part of town. Arianna was a fantastic host – super nice and sharing recommendations. The apartment was nice and with a balcony.
What could be improved: Air conditioning struggled a bit in the hot weather but was manageable.Emma from United Kingdom – 28 July 2024 (10/10)
Good location, spacious, modern and clean
What could be improved: Not enough hot water for the family all to shower after each otherRachel from United Kingdom – 11 July 2024 (10/10)
Easy 10 minute walk to both the station and to the old town centre. The sound insulation was superb, you would have no idea it was in a city, wonderfully quiet and very secure. The host was lovely. She communicated well before the day and she met us early to coincide with our train time, she also allowed us to keep our luggage there safely until we needed to leave for our flight. The flat was clean and spacious and had everything you need. Would definitely recommend.
What could be improved: Whilst the air conditioning made it far more comfortable than the outside temperatures of 33 degrees, it did struggle to get below 24 degrees.Majella from Ireland – 16 June 2024 (9/10)
Very modern and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed and I loved the little balcony for my morning coffee and my evening glass of wine in the sun. Supermarket very nearby and just a short walk to the Arena and all the Piazza Bra with lots of restaurants and bars. Arianna a super host with very good communication and seems like a lovely person. Would highly recommend her lovely apartment.
