Stepping inside, the lobby’s nothing fancy – think cozy with some worn leather chairs and a faint whiff of espresso from the breakfast nook – but the staff made it feel welcoming. Check-in was a breeze; the guy at the desk chatted about the best bus route into town (the 11 or 21 from nearby Via Tombetta gets you to the Arena in under 15 minutes, and it’s way cheaper than taxis). My room was on the second floor, overlooking a little courtyard – clean, with that simple Euro-style bedding that’s firm but comfy, and a balcony where I could hear birds chirping in the morning over the distant hum of traffic. Well, sort of – there was some street noise at night, especially on weekends when folks head to the local trattorias along Via Legnago for pizza and spritz. It’s a 3-star spot, so don’t expect spa-level luxury; the bathroom’s compact, and the Wi-Fi can lag if everyone’s streaming, but hey, it worked fine for checking emails. Breakfast was a highlight – fresh croissants, prosciutto, and that strong Italian coffee that perks you right up. I wandered out one evening to a nearby spot called Osteria del Bugiardo (just a 10-minute walk), grabbed some risotto all’Amarone – total insider tip, it’s where locals go, not the overpriced places by Piazza Bra.

All in all, if you’re looking for a no-frills base to explore Verona without the crowds, Al Perlar Su’s a solid pick – that 7.8 rating feels spot-on, you know? It’s great value, especially off-season when rooms dip under 100 euros, and it gives you a taste of real neighborhood life. Sure, it’s not walkable to everything (pack comfy shoes or rent a bike), but that’s what makes it feel genuine – like you’re actually living in Verona for a bit, not just passing through. I’d go back in a heartbeat for a fair visit or a relaxed weekend escape.

  Appartamento molto grande e pulito, con 2 camere da letto, bagno e cucina con piano a induzione. Balcone esterno con vista giardino e comodo Ingresso con codice per cancellino e porta d'entrata. Sono stata molto bene e tornerei sicuramente! Ottimo rapporto qualita prezzo

  A bookingon foglalható volt a szállás. Befoglaltam. Üzleti úton vagyok, későn érkeztem volna, de foglalás után jelezték, hogy nem tudnak fogadni. Kellemetlen volt.
