What really got me was how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Verona charm without falling into tourist trap territory. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but tucked away from the crowds that can make the main areas feel overwhelming during peak season. I remember one evening, just sitting in their common area with a glass of local wine, chatting with other guests about hidden spots around the city – that kind of organic conversation that happens when people are actually relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast (which they clearly put thought into) became this daily ritual I actually looked forward to, not just fuel for sightseeing. And parking – something nobody talks about until they need it – was surprisingly hassle-free, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a car through Verona’s historic center, you’ll know is basically a small miracle. There’s this attention to the practical stuff that makes you realize they understand what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.
