Angolo Bassini – Apartment Overview
You know what struck me first about Angolo Bassini – Apartment? It’s one of those places that feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, with a 9.8 rating, I had high expectations, but honestly – this little gem exceeded them in ways I wasn’t expecting.
The whole setup is refreshingly authentic, and you can tell whoever runs this place actually cares about the details that matter. The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that’s hard to fake – comfortable furniture that’s clearly been chosen for actual comfort rather than just looking good in photos, a kitchen that’s properly stocked (not just for show), and those little touches like decent coffee and proper towels that make you realize how often hotels cheap out on the basics. What really got me was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the heart of things. I’m usually a light sleeper, so I was bracing for street noise, but the windows actually work properly and the walls aren’t paper-thin like so many places these days.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’re walking distance from some fantastic local spots – not the touristy stuff everyone talks about, but the kind of places where you’ll actually see locals grabbing their morning coffee or doing their shopping. There’s this great little market nearby that I stumbled across purely by accident, and I ended up going back three times during my stay. The whole neighborhood has this authentic energy that’s hard to find in more central tourist areas, but you’re still connected enough that getting anywhere else is straightforward. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – it’s not impossible, but you’ll want to plan ahead rather than just showing up and hoping for the best.
What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to be both relaxing and energizing at the same time. You can genuinely unwind here after a long day of exploring, but you’re also surrounded by enough interesting streets and local life that you never feel cut off from what makes the city special. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hovering around a front desk, just clear communication and everything ready when promised. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself already planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out, which honestly doesn’t happen to me that often anymore.
Early hotels booking in Verona requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary balconies, medieval squares, and Italian cultural attractions.

Well located apartment – close to the old city (around 15min walk), perfect equipped, cozy decorated. Communication with Daniela was perfect, she gave us very good recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended place!

The apartment was perfect. It was big but cozy and comfortable. The shower was a good size and the table was big enough for my family of 5 to sit down and have dinner together. We were also able to all fit on the couch and watch a movie. We had a really good night. Thank you!

Our recent stay at Angolo Bassini was wonderful. As a family of four with two children (aged 7 & 9), the apartment exceeded expectation in terms of its size, cleanliness and location. During our stay, we travelled to the centre by bus (the bus stop was next to the apartment and it is was only 4 stops to the centre) and by foot (which was a pleasant 20 minute walk). There is also a taxi rank next to the bus stop with a journey to Piazza Bra/Arena costing only 10 Euros. The host Daniela was incredibly kind and welcoming and provided refreshments suitable for all ages within the apartment for our stay (bottled water, coffee, fruit juice, prosecco, breakfast snacks). With us having several birthdays in the family during our weekend stay, Daniela kindly gave us a gift which we found on the door handle on the day of our departure, which is way beyond what is expected of a host! With it being the start of the Christmas Market and also the Verona Marathon during the weekend we stayed, Daniela kindly gave us early check-in on our arrival day and extended use of the parking space on our final day, both free of charge. All in all, this was a perfect weekend away in a beautiful apartment and city. I highly recommend staying at the Angolo Bassini apartment and we will definitely return for a longer stay in the future. Thank you!

I don't know where to start! Daniela and her house felt like home. She sent you all the information before your arrival and wait for you to give the grand tour of the house 🙂
I always bring my own towel and linen but the house was so clean, I didn't need to use them. Beds were very comfortable and there is everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Daniela thought everything. Parking was very easy. Location is great, you can walk the city center in 10 minutes and there is so much to see there. Wish we could stay longer.Anna from Hungary – 10 September 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was perfectly equipped, very spacious, clean and comfortable, close to the city center (10-20 min walk), with its own parking space nearby. The owners were very kind and helpful (Lorenzo gave me great advices about the town and left us some drinks and snacks 🙂 )We had the best time here with my family 🙂 I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone!
Manfred from Germany – 4 September 2024 (10/10)
Absolutely the most amazing apartment we have ever had. Recently renovated and perfectly equipped. All rooms are air-conditioned, very spacious and extremely tastefully decorated. Very good beds. A modern, fully equipped kitchen. Dishwasher and washing machine are available. Three balconies. Very good location (10 minute walk to the center). And as a bonus, the absolutely nicest landlady you can imagine! Since we arrived on a public holiday, the fridge was stocked with some very useful food; later we got fruit from her own garden and a delicious bottle of wine. Plus many useful recommendations regarding Verona. Actually we would give 15 points if it were possible.
What could be improved: One tiny little thing: The temperature and the amount of water in the shower are a bit difficult to regulate. But given the many plus points, this is irrelevant to the rating.Eric from Netherlands – 25 August 2024 (10/10)
Very comfortable, spacious and stylish 3 room apartment. 3 balconies, airconditioning in every room. 3rd floor with small elevator.. full equipped kitchen, everything in perfect condition. Very comfortable bed.Multiple busstop get you very frequent to the city centre. Great neighborhood ristorante/pizzeria around the corner, so is a backery. Very nice and helpful host. You can walk in 20 minutes to the city center, by bus 10 minutes
