The thing about this hotel is that it really delivers on that 8.7 rating in ways that surprised me. I mean, you go in expecting decent service and clean rooms (which you absolutely get), but what you don’t expect is how the staff actually remembers your coffee preference by day three, or how they’ll casually mention the best time to avoid crowds at nearby attractions. The rooms themselves have this wonderful mix of old-world character and modern comfort – think original architectural details that make you want to run your hands along the walls, paired with reliable WiFi and proper air conditioning. The beds are honestly better than what I’ve found at some four-star places, and there’s this attention to detail in the linens and bathroom amenities that shows someone really cares about the guest experience.

What really won me over, though, was discovering all these little touches that you only notice when you’re actually staying somewhere rather than just passing through. Like how they’ve managed to soundproof the rooms remarkably well – even when there’s street activity outside, you’re getting proper sleep. The breakfast setup is another pleasant surprise; it’s not a massive buffet operation, but everything they do offer is genuinely good quality, and they’re flexible about timing if you need to get an early start. I also appreciated that check-in was refreshingly smooth – no endless forms or upselling, just genuine hospitality from people who seem to actually enjoy their work. The location works really well too, because you’re close enough to everything important without being right in the thick of tourist chaos, which means you can actually relax when you want to. Honestly, for a three-star property, Antiche Colonne punches way above its weight class, and I’d definitely stay here again.

  Great location! Can walk to City Center in just a few minutes. Close to buses to get to train station for day trips outside of Verona.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was a bit warm for us, but we do keep temperatures cooler than most. Also could have used some paper towels or napkins.

  Good apartment. Easy access to city center. It is in a neighborhood near university so on weekends for those whom like night life it would be good.

  Great location for couple with a car visiting old Verona! A recent update of plumbing and living space, had fridge, stove top, kitchen table. A secure and quiet place across the street from a great morning café. No laundry facilities, but a really good launderette nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Simple furnishings, decor. Nothing fancy, but roomy and comfortable. Not a place to hang out, but really convenient to most sites in Verona. Would stay there again.

  The location was ideal to explore the beautiful city of Verona, just a short walk over the bridge and we were in the heart of the old center. It was wonderful that we were able to park our car for the duration of our stay. Good communication with Stefano
  
  What could be improved: A couch in the living room would have been nice, we were 3 travelers and just had two armchairs. We would have appreciated extra sheets. The shower needs to be optimized a bit, felt like the water is flowing out into the bathroom leaving a big puddle
