You know what caught me off guard about ApartmentsArena – Zini Studios? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to wow you with fancy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow ends up being exactly what you need. I mean, the name itself is pretty straightforward – these are studio apartments, plain and simple – but there’s something refreshingly honest about that approach.

The studios themselves are actually really well thought out. Someone clearly understood that travelers want space to spread out without paying hotel prices for it. The kitchenettes aren’t just decorative either – you’ve got proper counter space and everything you need to make a decent breakfast or heat up leftovers from that amazing restaurant you discovered the night before. Honestly, after staying in cramped hotel rooms where you’re practically eating on the bed, having a proper little dining area feels like luxury. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, and the bathrooms – well, they’re clean and functional, which is really all you can ask for. I particularly appreciated that the shower actually had decent water pressure, something you can never take for granted when you’re traveling.

What really impressed me, though, was how quiet everything was. You’d think with “Arena” in the name it might be near some sports venue with crowds and noise, but the soundproofing is solid – I barely heard my neighbors, even during what seemed like a busy weekend. The whole setup feels more residential than touristy, which I personally love because you get a sense of actually living somewhere rather than just passing through. Check-in was straightforward too, none of that waiting around in lobbies or dealing with complicated key card systems that never work when you’re juggling luggage and coffee. And honestly, with a 9.1 rating, you can tell other people have had similarly positive experiences – that’s not the kind of score you get by accident. It’s the kind of place where you unpack your stuff, settle in, and actually forget you’re staying in temporary accommodation. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a trip.

  Das Zimmer ist groß und hat incl. Waschmaschine und Klimaanlage eigentlich alles, was man so braucht. Die Lage ist super, die Altstadt ist fußläufig in 2 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen, das Bett ist sehr gut. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern hat gut geklappt, sie waren sehr bemüht und entgegenkommend. Das klappte auf englisch und auf deutsch gut.

  What could be improved: Die Fernbedienung für die Klimaanlage haben wir nicht gefunden, aber die Nächte sind Anfang Mai glücklicherweise noch kühl genug. Eine Grundausstattung an Gewürzen wäre schön gewesen.
