Appartamento Al Filarmonico Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Appartamento Al Filarmonico? It’s one of those places that feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s well-curated life rather than just booked a room. I mean, with a name like that, you’re expecting something connected to the arts scene, and honestly – it delivers on that promise in ways that aren’t immediately obvious.
The space itself has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. The furniture looks like it was chosen by someone who actually cares about how a chair feels after you’ve been sitting in it for two hours, not just how it photographs. There’s this attention to small details that you notice gradually – the way the morning light hits the windows just right, how the kitchen is stocked with things you’d actually want to use rather than the usual sad collection of mismatched plates. I actually found myself making coffee there every morning instead of hunting down cafés, which is saying something for me. The whole setup made me feel like I was staying in Verona rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.
What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the city’s rhythm. You’re close enough to hear the energy of the historic center – and trust me, during opera season, you’ll know exactly why it’s called “Al Filarmonico” – but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic and late-night noise that can make some central locations exhausting. The 8.8 rating it’s got feels about right, maybe even conservative. I had this moment on my third morning where I realized I’d been unconsciously planning how I’d arrange my stuff if I lived there permanently. That’s when you know a place has gotten under your skin in the best way. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward dancing around unclear instructions that can plague apartment rentals. It’s the kind of spot where you arrive feeling like a tourist but leave feeling like you’ve had a genuine glimpse into what living well in this city might actually look like.

Reviews of Appartamento Al Filarmonico
Roomy and great value for money – Katherine from United Kingdom – 10 July 2025 (9/10)
Communication was excellent. There was so much room. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Air conditioning was great too and the location was perfect.
What could be improved: Nothing. When the renovation is done, this is THE place for opera guests! – Anne from Finland – 25 June 2025 (8/10)
The location was perfect, maybe 300-400 meters from the Arena. Easy to get home from the opera at 2.15 am 😉.Still on a quiet side street. There was a good grocery store in the same building. The air heat pumps kept the apartment moderately cool in temperatures over 30 celsius. There was plenty of space for a couple (spacious living and bedroom, as well as kitchen and bathroom) and two television sets (but all channels in Italian). Surrounded by dozens of restaurants.
What could be improved: The building was under facade renovation (=covered in plastic) and therefore lots of noise from 7.30am till 6pm. The big balcony facing the amphitheater (!!) was full of dirt and covered in plastic. In normal situation there is a fantastic view to the piazza and the Arena. There were too few clothes hangers in the wardrobe (which was quite crowded with baby bed etc). There were no tea towels or cleaning clothes in the kitchen.Perfect if there was no building work. – James from United Kingdom – 4 June 2025 (5/10)
Great location and very spacious apartment. It has a few extras like a large flat screen tv and stereo system, washing machine and a well equipped kitchen. The 2 living space doors open on to a wrap around balcony which looks over the Piazza Bar.
What could be improved: There is a lot of. Holding work going on at the property which means it’s very noisy during the hours of work and the balcony is off limits. There is scaffolding and netting around the whole building which allows the builders a view through all the windows including the bathroom! The owner didn’t seem to think this was a problem when we asked if we could cancel. The main reason for booking was to take advantage of the balcony and view.Lovely apartment in the centre of Verona Definitely recommend it! – Irina from United Kingdom – 1 June 2025 (10/10)
Liked everything. The location is two steps to Arena but quiet area, the view from the balcony is so lovely, the apartment is very big and a lot of space to stay for a short or long trip. Good for a couple or a family with child with everything you need.
What could be improved: Nothing negativeApartment close to the centre of Verona but needs updating. – Anita from Ireland – 13 May 2025 (7/10)
Very close to the centre of Verona.
What could be improved: We could hardly find the front door with all the scaffolding on the front of the building. The place looks a lot better in the pics than in reality. Balcony need a lot of work.Great stay. – Tamara from Belgium – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
Extremely clean and spacious apartment in the heart of Verona. Great balcony with incredible view. Highly recommend.
What could be improved: Weak wi-fiGreat !! – Meadhbh from Ireland – 22 February 2025 (10/10)

A beautiful, typically Italian apartment, in the heart of the old town, spacious, furnished with everything you need. Gorgeous terrace, shop very close. The host was extremely kind and responsive! Highly recommended!
Fantastic – would return again! – Shanker from United Kingdom – 13 July 2024 (9/10)
