It’s not that the place is hard to find (the owners are fantastic about giving you proper directions), but it does mean you’ll want to communicate with them before arrival rather than just punching something into Google Maps. Actually, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise because they gave me insider tips about parking and the best times to visit the Roman theater that I never would have gotten otherwise. The check-in process is more personal than your typical hotel desk experience – it feels like staying with a knowledgeable local who actually cares about your trip.
