Appartamento Anastasia Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Appartamento Anastasia? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to impress you with fancy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow ends up being exactly what you need. I mean, with that 8.8 rating, I was expecting something decent, but this little 3-star gem actually exceeded my expectations in ways I wasn’t anticipating.

The apartment-style setup is honestly perfect if you’re the type who gets tired of hotel rooms that all look the same. There’s something refreshing about having actual space to spread out – I’m talking a proper kitchen where you can brew your morning coffee without those terrible pod machines, and rooms that feel like someone actually lives there rather than a sterile box designed by committee. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you settle in immediately. I found myself staying in more evenings than I usually do on trips, just because it felt so homey. The furnishings aren’t Instagram-perfect, but they’re thoughtful – like whoever set this up actually considered what travelers really need, not just what looks good in photos.

What really sold me though was the attention to detail that you don’t notice right away. The shower pressure is actually decent (you’d be surprised how rare that is), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and there are enough outlets near the bed that you’re not playing tetris with your chargers. Plus, the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no unnecessary upselling or twenty-minute presentations about facilities you’ll never use. I appreciate that kind of no-nonsense approach, especially when you just want to drop your bags and start exploring. The neighborhood itself has that authentic feel where you’re staying somewhere people actually live, not just a tourist bubble. You’ll hear the sounds of daily life – kids playing, neighbors chatting – which I find way more charming than the artificial quiet of those big chain places. Sure, it means it’s not completely silent at all hours, but that’s part of what makes it feel real. Honestly, for a 3-star place, Appartamento Anastasia delivers way more personality and comfort than a lot of higher-rated hotels I’ve stayed in.

Reviews of Appartamento Anastasia

  • Dennis from Canada – 6 October 2024 (9/10)

    -Excellent location!!!
-Good restaurant a few steps away (Ostregheteria Sottoriva 23), and many others close by
-Not close, but walkable from the train station

What could be improved: -Renovations in the apartment below were very loud on the one morning
    -A bit pricey for Italy

This apartment is in an amazing location, right near the river and the old town in Verona. It's a very neat and tidy apartment and very functional.

What could be improved: There were a few things that would have made it easier, things like a tea towel and hand towel, as they want you to wash everything up before you go but we couldn't find anything to dry up with in the kitchen. Things like a peeler and grater would also be helpful. There is no sofa so no where comfortable really to sit and relax except on the bed. The apartment is quite dark, there isn't much natural light so it wouldn't be somewhere you would want to spend a lot of time relaxing during the day. Not a problem for us as we were out but if you want views and natural light then this may not be for you.

  • Amanda from United Kingdom – 16 July 2024 (9/10)

Everything was exactly as pictures and described.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Jan from Netherlands – 2 September 2023 (9/10)

The location is incredible! The apartment is clean and spacious. Barbara is a lovely host who makes sure that you can always contact her with questions. I highly recommend the apartment. If we return to Verona, we will definitely stay here again!

My husband stayed a week for a conference. Great location, apartment and very helpful host. Very happy with the trip!

  • Gülşen from Turkey – 20 April 2023 (8/10)

location was perfect. or relation with host was perfect until checkout date. interior was very cleam and it had all the equipment. it was very comfortable. Barbara was very helpful by the way.

What could be improved: our checkout date was a disaster. we were accused of throwing our thrash to outside municipality container instead of thrash can in apartment. we never faced such a behaviour before and was shocked. we washed the dishes but host complained about distribution of dishes tto right places in kitchen as she wanted. we could not comprehend host’s intial friendly behaviours change to hostility on checkout day. hotel is suited for visitors who wants to do housekeeping during their holiday.

  • Berangere – 10 September 2022 (9/10)

Great large modern studio , perfectly located in a very beautiful part of Verona ( historic Center).
Bed was very comfortable and the appartment is nicely presented, looks newly refurbished with taste..
Was surprised by how big it was. Great shower area.

    Calm environment.

What could be improved: 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. ( on the 2nd floor) So with heavy luggage not ideal. But really nothing else.

  • Daria from Netherlands – 16 July 2022 (9/10)

The apartment is very stylish. Nice red glossy kitchen, books and maps about Verona. Very nice posters with Verona views. Very spacious shower.

What could be improved: The air-conditioning wasn't good enough. We were "lucky" to stay at Verona when it's +36 during the day and +28 during the night. The air conditioner is an old-fashioned portable one with a pipe… could not cool down the room.

  • Susan from United Kingdom – 23 June 2022 (9/10)

Great location by Ponte Pietra in a quiet neighbourhood – 15 minutes walk to Arena. Nice and clean.

What could be improved: Although advertised as a studio apartment the mention of the word bedroom in the description led us to believe (incorrectly) that there was a separate bedroom. As two adult couples we were therefore surprised when we were presented with a double bed and made up sofa bed side by side! It was a good job we’ve known each other for years and was only for two nights. Would be helpful to delete the word bedroom.
