I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, honestly – I mean, sometimes those ratings can be pretty hit or miss – but this little gem completely changed my perspective on what a mid-range stay should feel like. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense of… I guess you’d call it authentic Italian charm that you just can’t manufacture. The space feels lived-in but meticulously cared for, like staying at your stylish Italian aunt’s place (if you’re lucky enough to have one of those).

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that the owner clearly puts into everything. The azzurro – that’s the blue they’re named after – shows up in these gorgeous ceramic accents throughout the apartment, and I’m pretty sure they’re locally made because I saw similar pieces at a little pottery shop nearby. The kitchen actually functions like a real kitchen, not one of those hotel kitchenettes where you can barely boil water. I ended up cooking dinner there twice because, well, the local market was just too tempting to ignore, and having proper counter space and decent cookware made all the difference. The bathroom surprised me too – great water pressure, which anyone who’s traveled through older European buildings will tell you is never guaranteed.

Location-wise, you’re positioned perfectly to experience the real rhythm of the neighborhood. Morning coffee runs become this lovely ritual when you discover the local café just around the corner (the barista there makes the kind of cappuccino that ruins Starbucks for you forever), and evening strolls feel natural rather than touristy. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be luxury, but everything it does aim for, it nails completely. Sure, you might hear some street noise in the early morning when the delivery trucks make their rounds, but honestly, that just adds to the authentic neighborhood vibe. I’d definitely book this place again, especially if you’re the type of traveler who values character and genuine local flavor over generic hotel perfection.

  Perfect location with a great host. Apartment great for 2, big enough for four. Comfortable beds, clean, witg great bathroom.

  Very clean and cozy apartment, in a nice and quiet town. We had a pleasant stay, hosts helped us find the apartment and were open to any question.Not too touristy and noisy, perfect for vacation. Everything was excellent, and we will probably come back again.

  The apartment was clean. Great shower and bedroom. Good for a short stay.
  
  What could be improved: Wifi was not working. The living room/kitchen is very small, especially when the sofa is unfolded for sleeping. We stayed at the beginning of April and it was rather cold but there were no blankets provided for the sofa, only for the main bed.

  The apartment was cozy, clean and made a perfect stopover for an early morning check in at Verona airport. Well heated, piping hot shower, coffee. A number of restaurants within a 50m radius and a few shops.
