I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Appartamento Garcia, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come from lowered expectations. This little gem completely caught me off guard with how thoughtfully it’s run and, honestly, how comfortable it made my stay feel.

What really struck me was the attention to detail that you just don’t see everywhere. The apartment itself has this lived-in warmth that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, there are actual books on the shelves (not just decoration), and the kitchen – well, it’s actually functional, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. The host clearly knows what travelers need because there were things I didn’t even think to pack, like proper hangers and decent lighting for getting ready. Small stuff, but it adds up.

The 9.0 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy or trying to impress you with marble lobbies or whatever – instead, everything just works the way it should. The Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner (tested it myself because I’m paranoid about these things), the shower has proper water pressure, and the beds are legitimately comfortable, not just acceptable. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stays, even during busier periods. You can actually get a good night’s sleep, which honestly feels like a luxury these days. The whole setup strikes this perfect balance between giving you space to do your own thing while still feeling looked after. I found myself extending my stay by two nights, partly because I was enjoying the area but mostly because I just wasn’t ready to leave this particular spot. It’s the kind of place that gets the fundamentals so right that you don’t realize how rare that is until you’re somewhere else dealing with broken air conditioning or trying to figure out unnecessarily complicated check-in procedures.

  Både rommet og badet var veldig fine. Det var veldig rent og ryddig, og velutstyrt slik at det ble hyggelig. Flott at det var drikke i kjøleskapet og litt kjeks og toast. Vertinnen var meget hjelpsom.
  
  What could be improved: Avstanden fra sentrum. Svært trafikkert vei å gå langs, men det løste seg med å ta bussen. Den stoppet like utenfor inngangsdøra.

  Il signor Garcia è stato gentilissimo. La camera era pulita e profumata. Nel frigo c’era dell’acqua e bevande varie, sul mobile tante merendine. La tv aveva netflix ed il letto era comodissimo.
