Appartamento Scaligero Borgo Trento Overview
I stumbled across Appartamento Scaligero Borgo Trento during one of those frantic last-minute booking sessions, and honestly? Best accidental find I’ve made in Verona in years. This place sits right in the Borgo Trento neighborhood, which – if you know the city at all – is where actual Veronese people live, not just tourists stumbling between Juliet’s balcony and the Arena.
The apartment itself has this wonderfully lived-in elegance that you don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels. I mean, we’re talking about a 4-star place that actually earns those stars through character rather than just fancy marble lobbies. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings and original details that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated home rather than a rental property. What really got me was the attention to small things – proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones, actual hangers that don’t require a engineering degree to remove from the closet rod, and windows that open wide enough to let in those amazing evening breezes that drift up from the Adige.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Verona like someone who actually lives there. You’re close enough to walk into the historic center – maybe fifteen minutes at a leisurely pace – but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant hum of tour groups and Aperol Spritz crowds at all hours. The Borgo Trento area has this lovely residential vibe with proper neighborhood cafes where locals grab their morning cappuccinos, and you know what? The parking situation is actually manageable, which anyone who’s tried to navigate a car through Verona’s medieval streets will tell you is basically a miracle. I found street parking within a block most days, though you’ll want to pay attention to the zona blu signs if you don’t want an unpleasant surprise on your windshield. The 8.9 rating this place has earned makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those properties where everything just works without you having to think about it. The check-in was smooth, the WiFi didn’t cut out during my important video calls, and the shower had proper water pressure (seriously underrated until you don’t have it). The only minor thing I’d mention is that being in a residential building means you’ll hear normal life sounds – doors closing, footsteps, the occasional conversation in the hallway – but honestly, that just adds to the authentic feeling of staying somewhere real rather than sterile.

Everything was great. Communication with owner was easy, and the self check -in without any problem.Nice, spacious and very quiet place.
What could be improved: Parking in the street can be tricky, but if you wait few minutes you can park in front of the building. Alternative is the big underground parking located five min away, but it is expensive -21 eur for 24 hours.Milena from Bulgaria – 3 February 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Unfortunately it was cold in the apartment when we got here in the evening and also very cold outside, sonit was good that there were other blankets to put on, the host felt very sorry about it as it was the cleaning lady who let the termostate on 15degrees.Joanna from Poland – 22 October 2024 (9/10)
A charming apartment in a quiet area. Parking under the house, delicious bakeries nearby, about a 10-minute walk to the city. A very enjoyable stay and Verona is very beautiful!
Jia from Canada – 21 September 2024 (9/10)
The location is good where you can walk to Verona old city.
What could be improved: It’s not happy when you have to walk up 3 stories to the apartment with heavy luggages. The light in the kitchen is not bright and the rangehood is not working.Barbora from Czech Republic – 12 September 2024 (9/10)
