But once I actually stayed there, it all made perfect sense. The place sits right in the heart of Borgo Trento, which is honestly one of Verona’s best-kept secrets if you ask me. While everyone else is fighting for space near the arena or Juliet’s balcony, this neighborhood has this lovely residential feel that makes you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just passing through.

The apartment itself has this wonderful old-world charm mixed with modern comfort that I really wasn’t expecting from a 3-star place. The moment you walk in, there’s this sense of space and light – big windows that let in all that gorgeous northern Italian sunshine, and you can actually hear the sounds of daily life drifting up from the street below (but not in an annoying way, more like a gentle reminder that you’re somewhere real and lived-in). What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything was arranged. I mean, someone clearly put effort into making this feel like a home rather than just another rental. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab some fresh produce from the local market – and trust me, there’s nothing quite like making your morning espresso with a proper Italian moka pot while planning your day.

The location really grows on you the longer you stay. Borgo Trento isn’t flashy, but that’s exactly what makes it special. You’ve got authentic trattorias where locals actually eat (not tourist traps), small shops that close for proper lunch breaks, and tree-lined streets that are perfect for those evening walks Italians do so well. Getting to the main sights is easy enough – maybe a 15-minute walk to the city center, or you can hop on one of the local buses if you’re feeling lazy. What I loved most was coming back in the evenings to this quieter part of town, away from the crowds but still very much part of the Veronese experience. The 8.8 rating really makes sense when you experience the place – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers exactly what you want: comfort, authenticity, and that feeling that you’ve discovered something special that most tourists miss completely.

  The apartment was modern, clean and spacious, perfect for a short visit to Verona. The checkin process was easy, we could visit the center easily and there were enough parking spots outside the apartment.
  
  What could be improved: We were three and I was the one that slept in the sofa bed in the living room. My friends had an excellent sleep in the bedroom but my back was destroyed the next day, the sofa-bed was so uncomfortable, I think it needs to be replaced.
