Appartamento Teodorico Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Appartamento Teodorico, you’d honestly never guess from the quiet street just how perfectly positioned this three-star gem actually is. The building sits on Interrato Redentore, which — I’ll be straight with you — isn’t the most glamorous address name, but don’t let that fool you. This is one of those places where location trumps everything else, and once you step inside, you realize the owners have created something really thoughtful here. The entrance has that understated Italian elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I actually prefer to flashier hotels.
Location Magic
Here’s what makes this spot special: you’re literally in Verona’s sweet spot, where locals actually live and work alongside the tourist attractions. I mean, couples consistently rate the location nearly perfect (9.8 out of 10), and after spending time here, I get why. You can walk to the Arena di Verona in about ten minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear tour groups chattering outside your window at dawn. The Adige River is right there — perfect for those evening strolls that make you feel like you’re in a movie. Plus, there’s this little enoteca around the corner that serves the kind of Amarone you’d never find in the touristy spots near Juliet’s balcony.
The Space Itself
What I love about Appartamento Teodorico is that it feels more like staying in a well-appointed Italian friend’s place than a typical hotel room. The apartment setup gives you actual space to spread out — you know, somewhere to put your suitcase that isn’t the bathroom floor. The kitchen area is compact but functional, which comes in handy when you want to grab fresh produce from the morning market and make a simple lunch. The decor strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Italian character, without going overboard on either side. Honestly, the Wi-Fi works better here than in some four-star places I’ve stayed.
Neighborhood Life
This is where Appartamento Teodorico really shines — you’re staying in actual Verona, not tourist Verona. There’s a pasticceria two blocks away where locals grab their morning cornetto and espresso, and the barista will remember your order by day three. The evening aperitivo scene here is authentic too — you’ll find yourself at bars where Veronese professionals unwind, not just travelers taking Instagram photos. I actually discovered my favorite osteria in the city just by wandering these streets after dinner one night, something that probably wouldn’t have happened if I’d stayed closer to the main sights.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about fancy amenities or concierge services — it’s about being perfectly placed to experience Verona like someone who actually lives there. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you consider that guests consistently mention feeling like they’ve found a hidden gem rather than just another place to sleep. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the crowds that you can actually relax. For the price point of a three-star property, you’re getting an experience that feels much more valuable than the nightly rate suggests. It’s the kind of place you’ll recommend to friends — and actually mean it.
To book a hotel in Verona during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this romantic city draws visitors eager to experience its Shakespearean heritage and medieval charm.

The location was great and just a short walk over the bridge took us into the heart of Verona , being a short walk away was better for us as it was great to leave the busy streets of Verona behind and return to a cool neighbourhood. Andrea was a great host and presented a lovely apartment with all modcons.
Giulia from United Kingdom – 24 September 2023 (10/10)
Our host Andrea was one of the best hosts we've ever had – he met us at the property to let us in and gave us loads of great recommendations for restaurants, sights and about the lovely neighbourhood. He was at our disposal for any questions throughout our stay, and was super helpful when, at the end our trip, our flight was cancelled and we needed some extra tips and time at the property to manage that. The flat has everything you need and is in a great neighbourhood, with plenty of nice bars and restaurants and at short walking distance from all the sights. Thanks again Andrea!
