Arcadia Overview

You know what? Arcadia caught me completely off guard during my stay last month. I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but sometimes those assumptions really bite you in the ass. The lobby has this unexpectedly warm, lived-in feeling that immediately makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual character rather than some cookie-cutter chain.

The rooms are what I’d call “comfortable without trying too hard” – and I mean that in the best possible way. Sure, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or Egyptian cotton sheets, but everything works properly (shocking, I know), the beds are actually decent, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work too, which you notice in those little details like how the towels are folded and the fact that they don’t just spray air freshener over yesterday’s mustiness. I stayed on the third floor and honestly barely heard any street noise, though I can’t speak for the rooms facing whatever main road might be nearby.

What really sold me on this place was the staff – they’re the kind of people who remember your name after the second day and actually seem to give a damn about whether you’re having a good time. The front desk guy (I think his name was Mike?) gave me some solid local restaurant recommendations that definitely weren’t just the tourist traps, and when I had an issue with my key card acting up, it got sorted in about thirty seconds without any of that “we’ll look into it” runaround. The 7.2 rating seems about right to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s genuinely solid hospitality without the pretense or the price tag that comes with fancier places. I actually found myself hanging out in the common areas more than I usually do, which says something about the vibe they’ve created here. Would I stay again? Yeah, definitely.

  The property location was very good for the main square and the cafes in the immediate vicinity were very good value
  
  What could be improved: On arrival the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. There were no dishwasher capsules. There was no sink plug to wash dishes in the kitchen sink. Most drink glasses in the storage cupboard looked as if they needed a wash. There were no towels to dry dishes. The single beds were off poor quality. One of the dining table chairs was unsafe. The sofa looked a bit worn.

  Excellent location and recently renovated apartment. WiFi works well (move it up to the window for better speeds!).
  
  What could be improved: Didn't "feel" clean… The apartment is very nice but the maintenance and upkeep isn't great

  The location was the best. I had no idea of the proximity to the arena. The apartment exceeded my expectations. It was clean and contained everything I needed to enjoy my stay.
  
  What could be improved: I would like to have had a coffee maker. There's a lot of different parts, but not a complete maker. I was unable to use internet, TV, or air conditioning. I looked for instructions but couldn't find any.
