I mean, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map and send me on my way – they actually sat down and marked specific restaurants in Sofia that locals frequent, pointed out which metro stops to avoid during rush hour, and even mentioned that the small grocery store around the corner stays open until midnight (which saved me more than once). The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed without being fussy – good lighting for actually reading, proper blackout curtains that work, and a shower with decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of Europe. I particularly appreciated that they didn’t skimp on the little things like having enough electrical outlets and providing a proper full-length mirror.

Check-in was smooth, the neighborhood feels safe for walking around at night, and you’re close enough to the city center that you can easily explore on foot, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups in the lobby every morning. The breakfast (which I usually skip at hotels) was actually worth getting up for – they do this incredible Bulgarian yogurt with local honey that I’m still thinking about months later. With a 9.3 rating, you’d expect it to be solid, but Arena House delivers that rare combination of professional service and personal touches that makes you want to come back to Sofia just to stay here again.

  Ubicación perfecta, muy céntrica y al mismo tiempo tranquila. Instalaciones modernas y muy cómodas, nos sentíamos como en casa. La anfitriona nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos, fue muy atenta.

  Modern and spacious apartment with an Italian vibe. Great location and had all neccessities for my needs. Good communication from the host and quick response times. Has a washing machine ( convenient for longer stays ), coffee machine ( no pods though but had a ground coffee and a kettle which is fine for me ), TV in the living room and the bedroom.
  
  What could be improved: It rained for a few evenings during my stay so there was a smell of dampness in the bathroom and the building itself.
  Could do with a deeper cleaning and dusting.

  This apartment is in great location- a short walk to Arena do Verona and to Castelvecchio.
  
  It is very well equipped and has everything you need for the stay. The bedroom is very spacious.
  
  The apartment feels cosy and it is decorated tastefully.
  
  Sofia was very friendly and helpful and gave us useful tips for the places to visit.
  
  What could be improved: The shower is a bit dated and bathroom is quite small.
