Arena Suite Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Arena Suite on Stradone Porta Palio, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Verona. This four-star boutique property sits right in the historical center, and I mean really in the heart of things — you can practically feel the pulse of the city from the moment you step inside. The building itself has that elegant Italian charm that makes you slow down and appreciate where you are, honestly.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally steps away from Verona’s main attractions, but tucked onto a street that doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming. The famous Arena di Verona is just a short stroll away, and you know what? You can walk to Juliet’s balcony, Piazza delle Erbe, and all those Instagram-worthy spots without breaking a sweat. What really impressed me though is how couples seem to gravitate toward this place — there’s something romantic about being able to wander the cobblestone streets and duck back to your own little sanctuary whenever you want.
The Suite Experience
The room itself feels more like a sophisticated apartment than a typical hotel space. There’s this thoughtful attention to detail that you don’t always find — quality linens, tasteful decor that nods to Verona’s history without being heavy-handed about it. The space actually gives you room to breathe, which is refreshing when you’re used to cramped European hotel rooms. I particularly appreciated how quiet it stays despite being so centrally located.
Practical Perks
One thing that sets Arena Suite apart is the private parking available on-site — and if you’ve ever tried to park in Verona’s historic center, you’ll understand why this is basically gold. Most places either don’t offer parking at all or make you hunt for a spot blocks away. It’s one of those details that might not seem exciting until you need it, then suddenly it’s the best part of your stay. The thoughtfully designed spaces include modern conveniences that enhance your comfort throughout your visit.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.5 rating honestly makes sense once you experience the place. It’s that sweet spot where you get the intimacy and personal touch of a boutique property, but with the reliability and comfort you expect from a well-run hotel. The staff seems to genuinely care about making your Verona experience memorable, and the location means you can be spontaneous — grab an aperitivo at a nearby enoteca, catch an evening performance at the Arena, or just wander until you find that perfect little trattoria. You’re not fighting crowds or long commutes; you’re just living in Verona for a few days, which is exactly what travel should feel like.
Hotels in Verona offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval gem, with easy access to historic palazzos, charming piazzas, and renowned wine bars.

Seamless check-in process and lots of helpful recommendations from the host. Spotlessly clean room, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Well located for the train station and good local restaurants.

Simply a beautiful property – we loved it and wish we could have stayed longer
Robert from Bulgaria – 19 February 2025 (10/10)
The location was fantastic, within a short walking distance of most historic sites, close to multitude of excellent restaurants and the best gelato we have tasted.
Francisco, our virtual host, was excellent for advice and responded almost immediately to any request we made.
We had an unfortunate problem with our car in a country where we are not able to speak the language. He supported us throughout and made provision for accommodation at the Arena Suites or elsewhere in the vicinity when he did not have accommodation for us.
In spite of our misfortune, we really enjoyed the extra days in Verona and more specifically at the Arena Suites – the rooms are warm and cosy and were like a home away from home. Each has a name based upon famous operas, we stayed in the Aida room.

The room was lovely overall. It was only about a 15 minute walk from the train station and then the city centre if even that which was ideal really.
What could be improved: No major issues. Only pet peeves were that the lights in the main hall at the very entrance downstairs didn't come on so it took a minute to find a light switch in the dark. Sign about leaving towels on the ground or on the rail was a bit battered and they changed the towels anyway even though we were happy holding onto them for the second night anyway.Hassan from Saudi Arabia – 14 February 2025 (10/10)
The suite is vary comfortably with amazing decor, the person how arranged the check in was vary helpful and responded to all my massages instantly, they also give us amazing suggestions of restaurants and cafes, definitely worth it and will stay here again
The only problem I had is with the underground parking maybe if I came with smaller car it would have been better but it really needs some improvement specially the ramp (the owner warned me about the ramp beforehand which I truly appreciated 😂)Michael from United Kingdom – 13 February 2025 (8/10)

Excellent location just around the corner from the Arena. The room was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean.. Francesco was an amazing host.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was perfect.Aleksandra from Serbia – 16 January 2025 (9/10)
Really nice location close to the center and you can experience a bit of local, not touristic atmosphere as well as some of local food shops. Francisco is an excellent host, though we didn’t meet him personally, he gave us more hints for restaurants than we could expect.
Jonathan from Philippines – 6 January 2025 (9/10)
Great Experience, The room is like an English Interior design, The beds and pillows are very comfortable, Francesco is very accommodating and even allow us to drop our luggage for an early check in. From time to time Francesco is checking on us on how are we staying in their property. PERFECT Hospitality. Definitely will refer and we will be back in this property
What could be improved: During night, Heater should be controlled from the room.Abi from Germany – 8 August 2022 (10/10)
The location was fabulous, walking distance to everything. Francesco the host was also wonderfully friendly and was a lot of help.
