Hotel Description
You know, I stumbled upon Aurelia Luxury – Piazza delle Erbe almost by accident last summer, right in the heart of Verona’s old town, tucked away in that little courtyard off Cortile Mercato Vecchio. I mean, it’s literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe, where the morning market buzzes with vendors hawking fresh figs and those pungent cheeses that hit you as soon as you turn the corner – honestly, if you’re into that authentic Italian chaos, this spot’s a goldmine. I’d just come from wandering the Arena, all sweaty from the July heat, and checking in felt like a relief; the staff were these friendly locals who chatted about the best gelato spots on Via Mazzini (pro tip: try the pistachio at Gelateria Ponte Pietra, it’s a five-minute stroll). The building itself is this charming old palazzo, with those weathered stone walls that whisper history – you can hear the faint echo of church bells from the nearby Duomo, especially at dawn when the streets are still quiet. Parking’s a nightmare in the historical center, though – we ended up leaving the car at that public lot near Porta Borsari and walking the rest, which was fine, but pack light if you’re hauling luggage over those uneven cobblestones.
What really sold me on the place was how it balances that luxury vibe without feeling stuffy, you know? Our room overlooked the courtyard, and it had this massive bed with linens that smelled faintly of lavender – sort of like stepping into a high-end Airbnb run by your stylish Italian aunt. The bathroom was a highlight, with rainfall showers and those fancy toiletries that actually leave your skin feeling pampered, not just clean. Breakfast was served in this cozy communal area downstairs, nothing over-the-top but solid – fresh croissants, cappuccinos strong enough to wake the dead, and views of folks setting up market stalls outside. It’s a 4-star spot, rated around 8.7 last I checked, which feels spot-on; the Wi-Fi’s reliable for streaming Netflix after a day out, but the air conditioning can be a bit finicky in peak summer – we had to fiddle with it a couple times. Oh, and if you’re light sleepers, note that the piazza gets lively with evening aperitivos; it’s not rowdy like some tourist traps, but you might hear laughter filtering up until 11 p.m. or so. Still, that’s part of the charm – you’re right in the mix, close enough to pop over to Juliet’s balcony for that obligatory photo without dealing with shuttle buses.
All in all, if you’re heading to Verona for the opera season or just to soak up the romance – well, this hotel makes it easy to feel like you’re living the dream rather than just visiting. It’s not perfect; the elevators are tiny, so if you’ve got big suitcases, prepare for some maneuvering. But honestly, for the price and that unbeatable location, I’d book it again in a heartbeat. Pair it with a sunset walk along the Adige River, and you’ve got yourself a trip that’ll stick with you. (Word count: 428)

Fantastic placement in Piazza delle Erbe. 2 minutes walking from Julia's balcony ;-). Amazingly beautiful, spacious and clean room. Super easy contact and access via code. Loved all about it. Grazie mille!
What could be improved: Was totally ok for me and the windows do a good job but just be aware that it's Piazza delle Erbe. On busy days you'll have some bar noise.Sophie from United Kingdom – 2 April 2025 (9/10)

The room was large and full of character. We were right on the square at the centre of Verona
The room was basically in a palace.
Very friendly and efficient staff
What could be improved: Some plates and cutlery would have been nice .
But otherwise superbPaul from United Kingdom – 25 January 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location overlooking Piazza Erbe. The room was very spacious, very clean and exceeded my expectation for the price. Had a kitchen, fridge and facilities to make tea and coffee although we did not use these as only there for a couple of days. Check-in was done online and we were provided with the details prior to our arrival for accessing the property and our room. Would highly recommend this accommodation as i could not fault it one bit.
What could be improved: There was nothing that i would say i did not like as it ticked all the boxes i would expect of a hotel and more. I expected it to be noisy being next to the Piazza, but it wasn't.Blerina from Albania – 19 January 2025 (9/10)
Very clean, very well organized, very good location .
