Aurelia Luxury – Piazza delle Erbe Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Aurelia Luxury – Piazza delle Erbe feels like discovering a secret that locals have been keeping to themselves. This four-star boutique property sits right on Cortile Mercato Vecchio, and I mean literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe — you can practically hear the morning market vendors setting up from your window. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly elegant Italian way, where you know you’ve found something special without all the flashy signage.
Location Magic
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience Verona like you actually live there. You’re in the historical center, surrounded by those gorgeous medieval buildings and cobblestone streets that make every Instagram photo look like a Renaissance painting. The famous balcony where everyone pretends to be Juliet? It’s a five-minute walk, but you know what’s better? The authentic trattorias tucked into the surrounding alleys that most tourists never find. I spent hours just wandering the neighborhood, and there’s always something happening in the piazza — from local festivals to impromptu street performances.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find in Verona’s old town. High ceilings, original architectural details, but also reliable wifi and a bathroom that actually works (trust me, this matters in historic Italian buildings). The windows open onto either the bustling piazza or the quieter courtyard — I actually preferred the piazza view because the energy down there is infectious, especially during aperitivo hour when locals gather for their evening drinks.
Dining and Atmosphere
While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, this is actually a blessing in disguise because you’re surrounded by some of Verona’s best dining options. The staff — and they really know their stuff — pointed me toward this incredible osteria just around the corner where I had the best risotto all’Amarone of my life. There’s something magical about stepping out your front door and being immediately immersed in authentic Italian life rather than hotel bubble dining.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it makes you feel like a temporary Veronese rather than just another tourist passing through. The couples who stay here (and apparently they rate the location 9.8 out of 10) get it — there’s something incredibly romantic about falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the piazza and waking up in the heart of one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. The staff treats you like a neighbor, offering insider tips and genuine recommendations rather than rehearsed tourist suggestions. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit to Verona before you’ve even checked out.

The room was large and full of character. We were right on the square at the centre of Verona
The room was basically in a palace.
Very friendly and efficient staff
What could be improved: Some plates and cutlery would have been nice .
But otherwise superbPaul from United Kingdom – 25 January 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location overlooking Piazza Erbe. The room was very spacious, very clean and exceeded my expectation for the price. Had a kitchen, fridge and facilities to make tea and coffee although we did not use these as only there for a couple of days. Check-in was done online and we were provided with the details prior to our arrival for accessing the property and our room. Would highly recommend this accommodation as i could not fault it one bit.
What could be improved: There was nothing that i would say i did not like as it ticked all the boxes i would expect of a hotel and more. I expected it to be noisy being next to the Piazza, but it wasn't.Blerina from Albania – 19 January 2025 (9/10)
Very clean, very well organized, very good location .

Fantastic placement in Piazza delle Erbe. 2 minutes walking from Julia's balcony ;-). Amazingly beautiful, spacious and clean room. Super easy contact and access via code. Loved all about it. Grazie mille!
What could be improved: Was totally ok for me and the windows do a good job but just be aware that it's Piazza delle Erbe. On busy days you'll have some bar noise.
