B&B girasole Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about B&B girasole? The name means “sunflower” in Italian, and honestly, it’s one of those places where the name actually fits perfectly. I mean, there’s this warmth to the whole place that just sort of wraps around you the moment you walk in – and I’m not just talking about the Mediterranean climate.
The owners clearly put thought into the little things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at chain hotels, where everything feels like it was ordered from the same catalog. Here, you’ll notice mismatched but charming furniture, local artwork that looks like it was chosen by someone who actually cares about art (not just filling wall space), and – this is huge – really good water pressure in the showers. The beds are comfortable enough that I actually overslept twice, which never happens to me when I’m somewhere new. The 8.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails all the fundamentals that matter.
What I really appreciated was how the breakfast felt personal rather than institutional. Fresh pastries that taste like they came from a local bakery (because they probably did), proper coffee, and the kind of attention to detail where someone remembers how you like your eggs after the first morning. The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you might end up chatting with other guests or the owners themselves – which can be hit or miss at some B&Bs, but here it feels natural, not forced. Parking was straightforward when I visited, though I’d imagine it could get trickier during peak season. The neighborhood itself is one of those areas where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real people actually live, not just a tourist zone. You’ll hear normal neighborhood sounds – kids playing, people going about their daily routines – which I find way more charming than the sterile quiet of hotel districts. If you’re the type who needs absolute silence, maybe pack earplugs, but honestly, it’s the good kind of life happening around you. For a 3-star place, they’ve figured out how to make guests feel genuinely welcome rather than just processed, and that’s getting harder to find these days.

Reviews of B&B girasole
Michael from France – 12 August 2024 (7/10)
Easy booking, good communication and easy check-in + parking opposite of the b&b, clean. By car, it takes 7min to downtown (before finding a paid parking)
What could be improved: We did not meet the owner, the b&b room is one out of three rooms in an appartement, the building entrance and the building from the outside look like it needs renovation; the breakfast is only a shelf with a coffee machine and some biscuits; below there is a fridge with water and orange juice.Mark from Spain – 20 July 2024 (7/10)
Clean and host left water and juice in the fridge which was appreciated.
What could be improved: The air conditioning did not work very well and did not really cool down muchBalázs from Hungary – 17 July 2024 (8/10)
Close to the highway, easy parking on the street in front of the accommodation, clean, nice room, equipped with everything. New tv, comfy bed, coffee machine, small croissants on the countertop
What could be improved: We had an extra door, which was connected to the other room, where others were staying, and we could hear everything they said and did.Knezdub from Czech Republic – 1 July 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was spacious, pleasantly decorated and impeccably clean. There was a big bathroom, a fridge and a coffee machine. An early check-in.
What could be improved: The communication with the host only via Whatsapp (I personally don't like this kind of contactless approach). The room was rather noisy and dark. The AC was also noisy and not strong enough. A quiet fan would be a better and more ecological solution.Thorge from Germany – 31 March 2024 (8/10)
Self-check-in at any time.
Ani from Australia – 10 October 2023 (7/10)
Love Lucia, very helpful.
What could be improved: No kettle, no kitchennete.Sofia from Montenegro – 23 September 2023 (8/10)
The apartment was just as promised and very clean and comfortable. The host, Fabio was extremely kind and helpful. When we wanted to do laundry and found out that the machine wasn’t working, Fabio took our laundry and washed it at his place for us, even though it was a Saturday night. We would strongly recommend this place.
What could be improved: Everything was great! It’s a little far from the center of town, but that was our choice because we wanted to save some money, and we are happy we did. It is an easy bus ride to town. We usually just walked (about 45 minutes) because we like to walk.Sofie from Denmark – 11 September 2023 (9/10)
For a B&B the stay was great with a comfy bed, good AC and a nice, clean bathroom. The instructions to find the room was easy and the coffee at the room was easy to make and tasted nicely. There was no breakfast included, but a nearby supermarket and the fridge in the room made it doable to have a good breakfast.
What could be improved: The biggest issue was the location. The distance to the city centre was a bit to far and the neigborhood did not seem very friendly. If you are there to enjoy Verona, a place closer to the city would be preferable. The room was very nice, but the fridge was quite noisy at night which may disrupt your sleep if you're a light sleeper.Tanja from United Kingdom – 1 September 2023 (7/10)
The location, the parking close to the B&B, the comfy bed and the coffee caps in the room
What could be improved: Breakfast was just juices in the fridge (8 small bottles of just pineapple juices,
no selection) and some confectionery brioches…not a breakfast expected from a B&B and no milk ….the fridge was too noisyRedmond from Germany – 23 June 2023 (8/10)
Host was very friendly and welcoming. Great terrace with outdoor kitchen, which was perfect for relaxing and making light meals. Easy Parking and just a short drive to the city center.
