The owners have clearly put thought into every detail, and you can tell this isn’t some corporate chain trying to maximize profits.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying in Borgo Roma — you’re actually living like locals do, away from the tourist crowds but still perfectly positioned to explore Verona. The area has this authentic residential feel, with real neighborhoods and family-run shops nearby. You’ll need about 15 minutes to reach the historic center by bus or car, which honestly gives you the perfect excuse to see more of the city beyond just the main attractions. Plus, and this is huge, there’s free parking right at the property, which anyone who’s tried to park in Italian city centers will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Rooms

The accommodations here strike that sweet spot between comfortable and characterful. My room had this lovely mix of modern amenities and Italian touches — think clean lines but with personality, not sterile hotel bland. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. What really impressed me was the attention to cleanliness and the little details, like proper lighting for reading and outlets where you actually need them.

The Experience

The breakfast deserves its own mention — it’s that perfect Italian morning spread with fresh pastries, good coffee, and local touches that make you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than just passing through. The staff here actually seem to care about your stay, offering genuine recommendations rather than just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots. I mean, they suggested this little osteria about ten minutes away that turned out to be one of my best meals in Verona, the kind of place I never would have found on my own.

  Easy booking, good communication and easy check-in + parking opposite of the b&b, clean. By car, it takes 7min to downtown (before finding a paid parking)
  
  What could be improved: We did not meet the owner, the b&b room is one out of three rooms in an appartement, the building entrance and the building from the outside look like it needs renovation; the breakfast is only a shelf with a coffee machine and some biscuits; below there is a fridge with water and orange juice.

  Close to the highway, easy parking on the street in front of the accommodation, clean, nice room, equipped with everything. New tv, comfy bed, coffee machine, small croissants on the countertop
  
  What could be improved: We had an extra door, which was connected to the other room, where others were staying, and we could hear everything they said and did.

  The apartment was spacious, pleasantly decorated and impeccably clean. There was a big bathroom, a fridge and a coffee machine. An early check-in.
  
  What could be improved: The communication with the host only via Whatsapp (I personally don't like this kind of contactless approach). The room was rather noisy and dark. The AC was also noisy and not strong enough. A quiet fan would be a better and more ecological solution.

  The apartment was just as promised and very clean and comfortable. The host, Fabio was extremely kind and helpful. When we wanted to do laundry and found out that the machine wasn’t working, Fabio took our laundry and washed it at his place for us, even though it was a Saturday night. We would strongly recommend this place.
  
  What could be improved: Everything was great! It’s a little far from the center of town, but that was our choice because we wanted to save some money, and we are happy we did. It is an easy bus ride to town. We usually just walked (about 45 minutes) because we like to walk.

  For a B&B the stay was great with a comfy bed, good AC and a nice, clean bathroom. The instructions to find the room was easy and the coffee at the room was easy to make and tasted nicely. There was no breakfast included, but a nearby supermarket and the fridge in the room made it doable to have a good breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: The biggest issue was the location. The distance to the city centre was a bit to far and the neigborhood did not seem very friendly. If you are there to enjoy Verona, a place closer to the city would be preferable. The room was very nice, but the fridge was quite noisy at night which may disrupt your sleep if you're a light sleeper.

  no selection) and some confectionery brioches…not a breakfast expected from a B&B and no milk ….the fridge was too noisy

  Host was very friendly and welcoming. Great terrace with outdoor kitchen, which was perfect for relaxing and making light meals. Easy Parking and just a short drive to the city center.
