The 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in. I mean, you don’t hit those numbers by accident, especially with Italian travelers who really know their accommodations. What I loved most was how quiet it gets in the evenings – you can actually hear yourself think, which is something you don’t realize you miss until you have it again. The breakfast setup is where they really shine though. It’s not one of those sad continental spreads with stale pastries. We’re talking local specialties that change based on what’s good that week, and coffee that’s strong enough to properly wake you up but smooth enough that you don’t feel jittery afterward.

The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in elegance – think quality linens that have been chosen for comfort rather than just looks, and furniture that’s actually functional. I particularly appreciated the lighting situation; you can read in bed without squinting, and there’s enough ambient lighting for those times when you don’t want harsh overhead bulbs. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Italian historic centers will appreciate. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy what they’re doing, and they have that local knowledge that comes in handy – like knowing which restaurants are tourist traps versus the places where locals actually eat, or the best times to visit nearby attractions without fighting crowds. Check-in was smooth, no bureaucratic nonsense, and they remembered our names throughout the stay, which feels more natural than forced.

  A beautiful family who own and operate this business, I was very well looked after, location is a short distance to the train station that gets you into Verona quickly, otherwise if you have a car it’s very secure and a lovely stay outside of Verona.

  We really enjoyed this clean, modern property located on a quite little country road 10-15 minute drive from the center of Verona. The location was perfect for us because we wanted easy access not just to Verona but to other nearby locations such as Sermione on Lake Garda and also the charming town of Borghetto. Excellent on-site parking and only 3 minutes from a village with an elegant local restaurant. Great breakfast every morning with a nice view into the garden.
  
  The hosts where great; sociable and eager to share their knowledge of the area, making many welcome suggestions on what to see and where to dine. Their recommendation on a modern underground parking facility, only 5 minute walk from the Roman arena in Verona center was a huge help, making our visit there super easy – not something to take for granted in historic Italian cities.
  
  An extra little bonus: The bedding was really special, featuring high quality memory foam mattresses that gave us the most comfortable sleep ever, completely absent of pressure points. We are now shopping for a similar mattress here in the US!
