The villa itself has that classic Italian feel – old stone walls with creeping ivy, and the air smelled faintly of blooming jasmine from the small garden out back.

What really stuck with me were the rooms – they’re not fancy or anything, but super clean and cozy, like staying at a friend’s place rather than a sterile hotel. Mine had this big window overlooking a patch of olive trees, and the bed was one of those memory foam deals that actually lets you sleep through the night without waking up stiff. Well, sort of – there was a bit of road noise from the nearby Via Legnago in the mornings, especially during rush hour, but it quiets down by evening, and earplugs would fix that if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast is included, and it’s nothing over-the-top, just fresh croissants, local cheeses, and that strong Italian coffee, served in a sunny communal area where I chatted with a couple from Milan about the best spots for aperitivo in Verona. Oh, and if you’re into biking, they have rentals on site – I took one out to explore the cycle paths along the river, which lead right to the city center without dealing with buses. It’s a 3-star spot, sure, but the 8.7 rating feels spot-on; it’s got that relaxed vibe, with free Wi-Fi that’s actually reliable (no buffering during my Netflix binge), and little touches like homemade jam at breakfast that make it feel authentic.

Look, if you’re visiting Verona for the romance or the opera season in summer – when the Arena gets packed – this place is a smart pick to escape the chaos without being isolated. It’s not perfect; the bathrooms are on the compact side, and if you’re traveling with kids, the lack of a pool might be a bummer. But honestly, for the price, you get a genuine slice of local life, away from the overpriced spots downtown. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in the quieter fall months when the leaves turn and the neighborhood feels even more peaceful. If you’re after that balance of comfort and real Italian hospitality, Villa Segala won’t disappoint – just pack light, as the stairs can be a bit steep for heavy luggage.

  The property is brand new and good condition with a simple but clean and comfy room and with some shared area available .. much better here that many hotels

  Facilities are good. There are frequent buses to the city center. Also to Garda, the bus stop is just 10 mins walk. Supermarkets are also just 10 minutes away.
  The rooms were comfortable. The lighting was good. It had a separate WC and shower. The place was very clean and tidy. Good WiFi connection.
  The rooms are air conditioned.
  It has a fully equipped kitchen.
  There are good restaurants all around the place.
  I couldn't find anything to complain about. So the 10/10.

  Tout est bien équipé, la chambre est grande et l'air conditionné fonctionne parfaitement. Le frigo a disposition dans une cuisine a partagé toute équipée. A 13 minutes du centre de Verone, je reviendrai là bas c'est sur. Explications claires par message avant d'arriver. Check in/out facile tout automatisé.
  
  What could be improved: le parking est dans la rue il faut un peu tourner pour chercher une place mais c'est faisable. Le bip bip quand on compose le code qu'on entend de chambre en chambre qui est assez fort mais c'est gérable.

  Ottima posizione per quello che interessava noi e puntuale e preciso il gestore che ci ha fornito tutte le info necessarie per accedere in struttura. Camera pulita e confortevole con servizi e arredamenti nuovi.

  Hodnotím nadvakrát, objednával jsem po samostatných dnech. Cestuji na neelektrické koloběžce ze Sopot v Polsku až do kolem Lago di Garda. Je mi 73 let,. Tento pension byl moje cílová stanice před odjezdem domů. Jsem spokojen, odpočinul jsem si, kuchyňka má kávovar na kaple, pěkná koupelna. Děkuji a možná se jednou vrátím… kéž by 🙂
