First Impressions

Walking up to B&B Valverde on Via della Valverde, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Verona” feeling. This three-star bed and breakfast sits right in the historical center, and I mean really in the heart of things — you’re literally surrounded by centuries-old buildings and narrow cobblestone streets that feel like they haven’t changed since Romeo was supposedly wandering around here. The entrance is understated in that charming Italian way, where you know something special is waiting inside but they’re not shouting about it from the street.

Location Magic

Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Verona without feeling like a tourist trapped in a hotel bubble. You can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about five minutes (though honestly, it’s a bit overrated), but more importantly, you’re steps away from authentic local spots that most visitors never find. The couples who stay here absolutely love it — and I get why, because there’s something romantic about stepping out your door and immediately being on these atmospheric medieval streets. You know what’s really nice? You can grab morning coffee at the little bar around the corner and feel like a temporary local.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — this isn’t a place trying to be something it’s not. What really stood out were the beds, which were genuinely comfortable in a way that surprised me. Sometimes these historic buildings sacrifice comfort for charm, but they’ve managed to get both right here. The decor strikes that sweet spot between honoring the building’s age and feeling fresh, with clean lines and good lighting that actually works for reading or getting ready.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have a lovely rhythm to them — you’ll hear the city waking up through your window, which sounds more romantic than annoying because Verona’s historical center isn’t crazy busy with traffic. The breakfast setup is simple but hits the right notes with good coffee and fresh pastries. What I appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood — they gave me directions to places that weren’t in my guidebook but turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.

This place works because it delivers on the promise of staying somewhere authentic without making you sacrifice comfort or convenience. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just flows naturally — from the location that puts you in the middle of everything worth seeing, to the beds that actually let you sleep well after a day of exploring.   Location was right in the center with everything in walking distance. Room was wonderful and at such a great price. Facilities were great and we were given a surplus of amenities. And the owners were super friendly and eager to help. All around lovely place to stay.

  Three reasons I have booked this place are; the distance to the train station, the price and the cleanliness reviews. All boxes checked and so much more. As a hotel guest normally, I was so impressed with this room, the organization ( train station instructions, late check-in instructions with a call back-up) spotlessly clean with a hotel-style set-up. Emanuele and Laura are like true hospitality experts, kudos, well done and thank you. Awesome stay!

  The room and the adjoining bathroom were perfect and very clean. The Location was also great, close to the train station, Verona Porta Nuova and the city center. Emanuele was a perfect host, very nice, accomodating and with his own Instagram, which provided special tips for restaurants, bars, etc.

  Everything was just perfect! Emmanuel is great, he explained all the details, communication with him was quick and easy. We also met his mother who is a very positive lady. The location is great! The apartment was clean at the level of a 5-star hotel!
  P.S (The house is located on one of the main streets, but it has excellent sound insulation. Nothing bothered us)
