Here’s what I love about staying in Verona‘s Città Antica district — you can stumble out the front door and be at Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes (yes, it’s touristy, but you’ll end up going anyway). The Arena di Verona is maybe a five-minute walk, and honestly, that’s where the magic happens during opera season. What really sold me though was how easy it is to find those little wine bars tucked into medieval streets — the kind locals actually frequent. You know what’s also nice? The area gets quiet at night, so you’re not dealing with street noise when you’re trying to sleep.

The Room Experience

I’ll be straight with you — the room isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtfully designed in a way that makes every inch count. The bed situation is actually impressive; I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses, and I slept better here than I have at some four-star places that cost twice as much. The bathroom is modern without feeling sterile, and there are those little touches that show attention to detail — good lighting for getting ready, enough outlets where you need them, that sort of thing. The windows open onto the piazza, which gives you this nice sense of being part of the city’s rhythm.

Breakfast Worth Getting Up For

The breakfast setup surprised me in the best way. It’s not just your standard continental spread — they’ve got this mix of Italian classics alongside options for people with dietary restrictions (gluten-free stuff that doesn’t taste like cardboard, vegetarian choices that feel intentional). The coffee is proper Italian coffee, which sounds obvious but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the restaurant area has this relaxed vibe that makes you want to plan your day slowly rather than rushing out.

What really sets this place apart is how it balances being right in the thick of things with actually feeling peaceful. Couples especially seem to get this — there’s something romantic about having Verona’s historic center as your backyard while still having a quiet retreat to come back to.   Excellent location to see all the sights of Verona. The accommodation was lovely and Serena was fantastic with her knowledge of the area/history she was so welcoming and attentive.   The staff! Very nice and friendly.

  What could be improved: It was not very centric and the parking i cluded was misleading ( we paid extra) with this location and cost for parking the price could have been different.
  
  The room we got was much smaller than expected and upon checking pictures we saw it was a slightly different room from the one we booked. Nothing major in order to ask for a change but a little disappointing.
