I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Bed and Bike Verona, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The name pretty much tells you everything though, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes this place so refreshing. It’s a 3-star spot that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but man, they absolutely nail what they do focus on. That 9.1 rating? Yeah, it’s deserved.

The whole concept here is brilliant, actually – they’ve created this perfect little ecosystem for cyclists exploring Verona. You know what I love about this place? They get that when you’re touring by bike, you need different things than your typical hotel guest. There’s secure bike storage (and I mean really secure, not just some sketchy shed), plus they’ve got repair stations and even basic tools if you need to tinker with your ride. The staff actually knows cycling routes around the area, which is rare – usually you get blank stares when you ask about bike-friendly paths to the major sights.

What really won me over was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Italian hospitality while being super practical. The rooms are clean and comfortable without any unnecessary frills – I mean, when you’re spending your days pedaling around Roman ruins and medieval streets, you just want a good bed and a decent shower at the end of the day. The breakfast situation is solid too, with enough fuel to keep you going for those longer rides out to the hills. And honestly, the other guests create this nice community vibe – there’s always someone willing to share route tips or recommend that little osteria they discovered off the beaten path. It’s become one of those places where the concept actually works perfectly with the execution, you know? If you’re planning to explore Verona properly (meaning by bike, the way it should be done), this is exactly where you want to base yourself.

  A nice sized room with a very comfortable bed. Lucina was very helpful and welcoming with her messages and helping us check-in to the property. The location is nice, quieter than the city centre, just a short trip via bus to the city centre. We liked how there was a theme to the property with a story behind it dating back to family history. The suburb was right next to a supermarket which was handy.

  We loved our stay here. Everything is as stated in the description. We liked coffee corned safe and easy access and especially the addition of free bikes to use during our stay. We actually walked to and from the airport (not everyone’s cup of tea but doable if on a shoestring) and the bikes meant it was a quick ride (15mins) on safe roads and bike paths to the centre. There’s also some great paths along the river to the east. Verona is a lovely city to potter around and soak up the history and architecture. Coffees are cheap as are restaurants if you choose wisely. We were there 3 nights and the bikes made all the difference to seeing so much more of what’s on offer.

  You can always tell when the owner cares about getting it right : the best bed linen , high quality finish to the room , minimalist fittings without skimping on price . Probably all finished off with a feminine touch . Yes I liked my room. !
