Bonsai B&B Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Bonsai B&B? The name actually makes perfect sense once you step inside. I mean, everything here feels carefully curated but not in that sterile, over-designed way that makes you afraid to touch anything. The owners clearly put thought into every corner – there are these gorgeous little bonsai trees scattered throughout the common areas, and honestly, they create this unexpectedly zen vibe that I wasn’t expecting from a 3-star place.
The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between cozy and functional. Nothing fancy, but everything works exactly like it should, and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs because I’m a light sleeper, but I didn’t need them here. The walls seem solid enough, and maybe it’s just the type of travelers this place attracts, but people are respectful about noise levels. The owners live on-site too, which I think helps maintain that peaceful atmosphere without feeling like you’re being watched or anything weird like that.
Here’s the thing about staying at smaller B&Bs like this – you’re either going to love the personal attention or find it a bit much, depending on what kind of traveler you are. These folks fall into the “love it” category because they seem to have figured out that perfect balance. They’re around when you need them (great local recommendations, quick to fix any issues), but they’re not hovering or trying to chat your ear off when you just want to grab your coffee and head out for the day. Speaking of coffee, they do a proper breakfast spread – not just pastries and instant coffee, but real food that’ll actually fuel your day of exploring. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you experience it firsthand because it’s all these little details adding up to something that just works well. Sure, it’s not going to have a spa or a rooftop bar, but if you want a genuine, well-run place where you can actually relax and feel like a person rather than just another booking number, this hits the mark perfectly.
To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Reviews of Bonsai B&B
Aurora from Italy – 21 March 2025 (9/10)

Check in autonomo facile e comodo.
Jaime from Australia – 2 November 2024 (5/10)
Quiet location, with supermarkets nearby. It was spacious with a separate kitchen/dining and lounge area.
What could be improved: Towels were old and dirty. We did find extras in the cupboard that were better but still not great. Made me question the cleaniess of the rest of the place. Had the towels been clean, we would have liked this place.
Bed was so soft you fell through it.
We knew location was a bit further from the train station and city centre when booking so not criticism of the place. I'd probably stay closer to the city centre next time.Anna from Spain – 24 August 2024 (8/10)
The owner was very kind and the communication online was very effective. The apartament is in an old building but it’s all renewed and it’s very cozy and beautiful. Big room and king bed very confy!
What could be improved: The distance to the city center is reachable by walk but kind of far. The breakfast was okay but nothing great things that can conserve good for a day to another (toasts, pastries in plastic bag, butter, jams, nutella, tea, cofee..)Predrag from United States – 13 July 2024 (9/10)
Large, spacious apartment with AC units in every room.
The owners are very responsive, parking is available nearby or,if you're lucky, by the entrance to the building. The old town is about a 25 minute walk. A grocery store is conveniently located in the next block.
What could be improved: The breakfast consisted of grocery.bought rolls and pastry with little packages of jam and jelly. Quite limited options.Bryan from United Kingdom – 13 June 2024 (9/10)
