BORGOROMA – Business & Apartments Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to BORGOROMA – Business & Apartments – the name alone had me curious about whether this was going to be more corporate or more residential. Turns out, it’s this perfect hybrid that actually works really well if you’re looking for something different from the typical hotel experience in Rome. You know what struck me first? The building has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist trap” – it feels more like you’re staying in a well-appointed apartment building where locals might actually live, which I mean, is kind of refreshing when you’re dealing with Rome’s sometimes overwhelming tourist scene.

The apartment-style setup is where this place really shines, and I get why they’ve managed that impressive 9.5 rating. Each unit feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – there’s proper kitchen space (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), decent-sized living areas, and honestly, the kind of layout where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. The business side of things is subtle but effective – reliable wifi that actually works for video calls, proper desk spaces, and the kind of quiet atmosphere where you can take a meeting without worrying about street noise bleeding through. I stayed during what locals call the “shoulder season” in late October, and while some places get a bit too quiet, BORGOROMA maintained this nice lived-in energy without being chaotic.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to practical details that only matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than a night or two. The laundry situation is sorted (and trust me, after a few days of Roman walking, you’ll appreciate this), the kitchen setups include actual cookware if you want to hit up a local market, and – this might sound minor but it’s huge – the shower pressure is legitimately good. The staff operates more like helpful neighbors than formal hotel personnel, which works perfectly with the whole apartment vibe. They know the neighborhood genuinely well, not just the obvious tourist spots, and they’ll point you toward the kind of local places where you’ll see more Romans than guidebook-carrying visitors. For a 3-star place, the quality feels like it punches well above its weight class – you’re getting the independence and space of a proper apartment rental with the reliability and service backup of a hotel. If you’re planning to actually experience Rome rather than just check off monuments, and especially if you’re mixing business with pleasure or staying for more than a quick weekend, this setup makes a lot of sense.

Reviews of BORGOROMA – Business & Apartments

  • Dimitrios from Greece – 5 November 2024 (10/10)

Location, spacious, clean and cozy room with a small kitchen for meal preparation, big yard, safe parking. Helpful advices by the host

What could be improved: It would be useful to have some bug nets on the doors and windows. Also more amenities in the shower would be nice.

  • Silvia from United Kingdom – 8 October 2024 (10/10)

Very Clean and the location is perfect! The host was very welcoming.

  • Mohammed from United Kingdom – 10 August 2024 (10/10)

Everything was perfect. The host told us everything we needed to know about the room and also forwarded us a PDF file of ALL the tourist attractions in Verona which really helped. The location of the property was amazing and it was such a nice area. What helped it more was the fact they had a gate to let in people which made it so much safer for us and any other driving families who stayed at the same time as us. If anyone comes to Verona, Italy, this is by far the place I would recommend. My experience both in Verona and this apartment is unforgettable and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A friendly host, gave us information about the area and directions. The room was nice, comfy beds, and good internet. It had everything we needed.

  • Milena from Germany – 30 July 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was really nice, the facilities were great including a big field with a playground that my 2.5 year old son loved. Giuseppe was super nice and helpful, my dad lost his passport in Verona and thanks to him we could talk to the police and found it again!

  • Ramona from Romania – 14 July 2024 (10/10)

We liked the location very close to Verona, the garden, the view and also the hosts. And the little rabbits in the garden too!
The room was also very nice.

    Nice location, very friendly staff!

  • Catherine from Canada – 12 June 2024 (10/10)

The host was very helpful and friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. The location was convenient for us. I like having full kitchen facilities, and it was also very close to two grocery stores and other amenities. We intend to stay there again when we're back in Verona.

  • Carol from Australia – 23 May 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful gardens and tucked away from the main roads, security gate. The property was very new and felt secluded and quiet and a five minute drive from Verona city centre. The host was super friendly and very helpful, he sent us a PDF with a lot of information about Verona highlights, public parking, best value restaurants etc.

    What could be improved: Nothing.
