Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà Overview
You know what? I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name alone had me curious (I mean, Byblos? In Italy?), but walking through those doors was like stepping into someone’s incredibly sophisticated art collection that just happens to have beds. This isn’t your typical five-star hotel where everything feels sterile and untouchable. Every single piece here tells a story, and honestly, you’ll find yourself wandering the halls just to discover what’s around the next corner.
The whole place feels like it evolved naturally rather than being designed by committee. One minute you’re admiring a contemporary sculpture that probably costs more than my car, the next you’re curled up in a reading nook that feels like it belongs in a friend’s villa. The rooms – well, calling them rooms doesn’t do them justice. Each one is basically a private gallery with really comfortable beds. I actually spent way too much time just examining the artwork on my walls instead of unpacking. The bathroom in my suite had this incredible mosaic work that made me feel guilty about my quick morning routine.
What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both grand and intimate at the same time. The staff genuinely seems to care about art as much as hospitality – they’ll chat with you about the pieces if you’re interested, but they’re not pushy about it if you just want to grab your key and disappear. The restaurant situation is pretty fantastic too; they’ve got this approach to food that mirrors the art philosophy – familiar ingredients presented in ways that make you see them completely differently. I had this risotto that I’m still thinking about weeks later. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs everything to match perfectly, the eclectic mix might feel a bit overwhelming at first. But honestly? Give it a day and you’ll start seeing how thoughtfully everything comes together. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and actually notice things, which – let’s be real – doesn’t happen often when you’re traveling.
Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

Have been coming to this property for over 15 years or more and does not look tired. The property is as fresh and alive as when it was built into the luxury hotel.
Nothing seem to have aged and looks great.
