Ca’ Vendramin – Letters To Juliet Overview
You know what struck me first about Ca’ Vendramin – Letters To Juliet? The name isn’t just some cheesy marketing ploy – this place actually gets what makes Verona special beyond the whole Romeo and Juliet tourist circus. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the literary connection is charming, but when I walked into this 4-star gem, I realized they’d managed to capture something more authentic about the city’s romantic soul.
The palazzo itself has this wonderful lived-in elegance that you don’t always find in boutique hotels. Instead of trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, the interiors feel like someone’s incredibly stylish Italian grandmother actually lives there (and honestly, maybe she does – half the family-run places in Verona seem to work that way). The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings and original details that make you forget you’re paying hotel rates instead of renting some aristocrat’s spare bedroom. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even during the peak summer months when the historic center gets absolutely mobbed with tour groups. There’s something about the thick walls and the way the building sits that just absorbs all that street noise.
The 9.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there for a day or two. It’s those little things that add up – like how the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to send you to the osteria where locals eat instead of the tourist traps near Juliet’s balcony, or how they handle luggage without making you feel like you’re interrupting their day. I stayed there during shoulder season in late April, and the whole experience felt effortless in a way that’s surprisingly rare. The breakfast setup isn’t huge, but everything’s quality – proper espresso, local pastries that actually taste like something, decent prosciutto. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to the good stuff (the Saturday market in Piazza delle Erbe is maybe eight minutes on foot) but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. If you’re the type who likes staying somewhere that feels like a discovery rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing, this is exactly what you want.
Early hotels booking in Verona requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary balconies, medieval squares, and Italian cultural attractions.

Wonderful! Easy walking location to everything

I like the location and the security of the property. It was in a central location and it was very easy to navigate through the area. The villa was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and clean. I loved the natural light coming through in the morning. The sky view was beautiful.
What could be improved: I wish there were instructions for people who chose to drive. There’s a parking zone not too far from the property (zone 545) which is a perfect place to park. You can use any of the parking apps online and pay for parking or if you already have the paid parking it would’ve been nice to know.Marie from United Kingdom – 11 October 2024 (8/10)
A beautiful apartment in a brilliant location, comfortable bed and well equipped
What could be improved: The sofa was very uncomfortable, definitely needs updatingThamen from Ireland – 18 September 2024 (9/10)
The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Loved the balcony. The location was amazing. Very easy to find and the instructions to check in were easy to follow. Highly recommend this apartment. Bed was very comfy. There was a map of all the attractions available in the apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was located on a quite street.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was very noisy and the room wasn't soundproof, you could hear everything from upstairs.Helen from United Kingdom – 24 August 2024 (9/10)
Property had Italian charm and was not just a room that could have been in any country. Communication and instructions were clear and helpful. Property had everything needed to make my stay comfortable- air con, generous amount of coffee pods, hairdryer, TV(not that I watched it). Location was close to where you wanted to be.
What could be improved: NothingRachel from Spain – 21 August 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment full of character and only a 5 minute walk from Casa di giulietta and 10 minute walk from the Arena.
What could be improved: There was nothing that I didn’t like about the property. The only thing that stopped it from being perfect was that there was no ironing board but that is just a small detail. All in all, the apartment was wonderful. I’d definitely stay there again if I return to Verona.Simon from United Kingdom – 19 August 2024 (10/10)
Communications about the rental were great, the flat is in a quiet area yet central for sights and shopping, it is well appointed, and was very comfortable. Exactly as described but better.
What could be improved: Can't think of anything. It was all good.Charlotte from United Kingdom – 1 August 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful quaint quirky little original style central Verona apartment.
We loved the style and features.
Fantastic location as so walkable to all main historical centre areas we wanted to visit.
Friendly helpful hosts too.
Fabulous little balcony to sit out on too.
What could be improved: No issues at all.Kristina from Netherlands – 9 June 2024 (9/10)
The location was outstanding, in a quiet residential neighborhood in the beautiful old city. The apartment was well-maintained with an equipped kitchen and a lovely balcony on which to enjoy morning espresso in the lemony Italian sun.

The Apartment not only looks exactly as beautiful as in the pictures but is even more special once you step onto the beautiful little balcony. Perfectly equipped, in the best possible location you could stay. Cherry on top is the friendliness and Italian hospitality of Tommaso and his dad. Picking us up from the parking, sharing places to eat and sights and always being responsive within seconds. Although only for two nights, this accommodation has been my favourite in Italy so far.
