Campofiore 28 Overview
You know what? Campofiore 28 is one of those places that completely catches you off guard in the best possible way. I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this 3-star spot, I wasn’t expecting much. The exterior is pretty understated, almost modest really, but there’s something about the way they’ve maintained the building that hints at the care you’ll find inside.
The moment you step through the front door, it hits you – this isn’t your typical mid-range hotel trying to punch above its weight. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling that actually makes you want to linger instead of just rushing to your room. I mean, the 8.4 rating starts making perfect sense pretty quickly. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, and not in that overly rehearsed way you get at some places. During check-in, the front desk person actually gave me some solid local recommendations without me even asking – the kind of insider tips you usually have to drag out of people.
What really won me over, though, was how they’ve nailed all the little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms aren’t huge or flashy, but honestly? Everything just works. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, the shower has proper water pressure (thank god), and the beds are genuinely comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on a rock. I stayed on the third floor and it was pleasantly quiet, even with windows open. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they actually remember how you like your towels folded, which sounds silly but it’s those touches that stick with you. I will say the elevator is a bit slow if you’re in a rush, but it’s one of those old-school ones with character – you sort of don’t mind waiting. The neighborhood itself has this authentic feel to it, not touristy but not sketchy either. You’ve got local cafes within walking distance where you’ll actually see residents grabbing their morning coffee, plus some solid dinner options that won’t break the bank. Parking can be a bit of a dance depending on when you arrive, but the hotel staff knows the area well enough to point you toward the easier spots.
Best hotels in Verona range from luxurious properties in the historic city center to boutique hotels with stunning views of the Adige River and ancient Roman amphitheater.

struttura è bellissima e accogliente, tutto è molto pulito.”
What could be improved: Ho già soggiornato diverse volte in questa struttura, solitamente per una settimana. Andreanidou from United Kingdom – 18 October 2024 (8/10)
Very elegant house, close to the historical centre (on foot). Little shop across to buy essential.
What could be improved: No communication with the owner, although it is very easy to find the place and keys after you read all the instructions sent to you prior to the arrival. Also, a bit dusty and toilet could use a bit more cleaning.Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 1 September 2024 (6/10)
Modern, but noise from above
What could be improved: Constant noise from above the whole time we were there. We couldn't get to sleep & were woken up early in the morning
Very disappointed , considering how expensive it was.Aurora from United States – 31 August 2024 (5/10)
Disappointing Customer Service
I was excited to stay in this apartment during our visit to Verona, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by poor customer service. While the apartment itself was adequate, the service we received fell short of expectations.
Please remember that people travel from faraway places, like Mexico in our case, to have a great time, and experiences like this do not contribute to an optimal stay.
Despite several requests, pillowcases were never provided, making our stay less comfortable. Additionally, our messages were often left unanswered or were responded to with significant delays, which was frustrating when we needed assistance. The air conditioning also did not work properly, further affecting our comfort.
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as addressing them could make this apartment a much better option for future guests.Alexander from United Kingdom – 23 August 2024 (2/10)
Great kitchen facilities.
What could be improved: Apartment has known electrical issues. We were without power for hours until we could contact the host company, who have office opening hours so good luck in the evening like us. The host company deskperson knew from memory to go into the basement of the adjoining building for the master fuse.
Cannot stand up straight upstairs if you are 6ft2+, very low ceilings as it is 1 floor converted into 2.
The bed is uncomfortable, the sofa is better to sleep on.
You can hear everything from the apartment above, who were having a party until 2am one of the nights we were there.
The washing machine lid is broken so sprays water everywhere if you try to use it.Vieri from Greece – 8 August 2024 (9/10)
I really liked the place, I loved outside the huge green trees. It was well equipped with more or less everything except iron which was disappointing but nevermind. Very quiet and beautiful place to stay, close to city and close to airport and train station! Also there were lots of nice restaurants around which is also important! Good job everyone!!

Lovely location in a good walking distance from the city centre
Georgia from United Kingdom – 9 April 2024 (9/10)
Lovely modern apartment in a good location, suitable for 3 people.
What could be improved: Very dark, no iron even though we asked before and was told there would be one, messaged ignored when asked where it was.Katja from Australia – 4 August 2022 (9/10)
Stunning small apartment close to Verona old town. very well equipped, had all what we needed. Communication was quick if help was needed. Enjoyed our stay
What could be improved: If the security switch to the power trips (which happened to us) there were instructions including photos how to deal with it. Easy to restore, but it is in the adjourning building. We did not have a key to that entry and were lucky that one of the tenants entered the building at the time and let us in.Irene_donkeytravel from Greece – 26 July 2022 (8/10)
The apartment is in a ground level, with a nice interior. The location is great, very close to the city center. From the whole apartment I really enjoy the bath, as it had everything I needed.
What could be improved: Parking is a bit challenging in the area and it cost 1€/hour until 20:00 pm and Sunday is free. The bed was hard.
The cleaning needs to be improved, as some glasses were dirty and there was a lot of dust across the apartment. Online check in with mobile was not working for me (I don't Know why) but thankful there was a code provided by the host.
