Casa all’Università di Verona – Verona Apartments Overview
You know what struck me first about Casa all’Università di Verona – Verona Apartments? It’s that perfect sweet spot where you feel like you’re actually living in Verona rather than just visiting it. I mean, most hotels plop you in some generic space that could be anywhere, but these apartments – well, they’re tucked right into the fabric of the university district, and honestly, that makes all the difference.
The location is pretty brilliant if you ask me. You’re surrounded by all this youthful energy from the students, which keeps the neighborhood alive without being chaotic (though I’d probably avoid staying here during exam periods if you’re looking for complete silence). The apartments themselves feel genuinely Italian – none of that sterile hotel aesthetic. I’m talking about spaces where you can actually spread out your stuff, maybe grab some fresh produce from the local market and cook a proper meal. The kitchens aren’t just for show, which is refreshing. And the whole setup just encourages you to wander the streets like you belong there, ducking into the little cafés that students frequent rather than the obvious tourist traps near the Arena.
What really sold me on this place though is how it handles that tricky balance between comfort and authenticity. The 4-star rating isn’t just window dressing – you get reliable wifi (crucial when you’re trying to navigate Italian train schedules), decent water pressure, and beds that don’t leave you wondering about your life choices. But it doesn’t feel sanitized, you know? The buildings have character, probably some history, and you’re genuinely in a residential area where people actually live and work. I noticed the 8.8 rating makes sense too – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well, like having enough outlets for your devices and windows that actually open properly (surprisingly rare in some Italian accommodations). The check-in process was smoother than I expected, and honestly, staying in apartment-style accommodation just gives you more flexibility with your schedule. No rushing down for breakfast before 10 AM or feeling weird about coming back late after exploring Verona’s surprisingly vibrant evening scene. It’s particularly great if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two, because you can settle in properly rather than living out of a suitcase.

Very clean, great host and great facilities
Ann from Australia – 28 October 2024 (8/10)
Pleasant large apartment suitable for our group of four. Very comfortable king size beds in the large bedrooms. Third bedroom was a little small. Good location for walking to the old town, seeing everything Verona has to offer, and for finding cafes and restaurants,
What could be improved: Be aware there are two flights of stairs. The internal courtyard was rigged with scaffolding, tho no work conducted during our stay. Also, we missed having a clothes dryer during wet weather.Kostin from Israel – 26 September 2024 (8/10)
Large apartment with comfortable beds, good location very quiet and has a nearby public parking lot. Close to main city attractions, 15-20 minutes walking distance.
What could be improved: Internal wooden walls, small showers, AC not warming efficiently while main building heating system was turned off.Kate from United Kingdom – 23 August 2024 (9/10)
Lovely spacious apartment a short walk from the city centre. Quiet neighbourhood.
Maria from Canada – 12 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: No elevators stated and thought location was a bit closer to Centro.Roxana from Romania – 11 August 2024 (9/10)

Margaret from United Kingdom – 3 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was clean with spacious rooms. The air conditioning was great and the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice and it was useful to have a washing machine. Communication was very quick, and access to the property was straightforward. We really liked the location which was near the city centre but quiet with nice bars and restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: We were very happy with the apartment. Very minorl issue was that info on booking.com incorrectly suggested luggage storage was available.Edina from Hungary – 15 May 2024 (9/10)
Close to the centre, calm street, comfortable beds, clean
