Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to Casa Beraldini on Via Gb Da Monte – it’s this quiet little side street in Borgo Trento, you know, that leafy neighborhood just across the Adige River from Verona’s old town. Honestly, after dodging the tourist throngs around the Arena, it felt like a breath of fresh air stepping into this place. The building’s got that classic Veronese charm – think pale stone facade with wrought-iron balconies and these big wooden shutters that creak just a bit when the wind picks up. I arrived in the late afternoon during spring, when the cherry blossoms are out along the river paths, and the check-in was a breeze; the owner – this warm guy named Marco, I think – chatted with me about the best gelato spot nearby (it’s Gelateria Ponte Pietra, by the way, just a 10-minute stroll over the bridge). No stuffy front desk vibes here; it was more like crashing at a friend’s elegant townhouse. Parking’s a bit of a juggle on those narrow streets – I mean, Verona’s not exactly car-friendly – but they have a couple of spots reserved out back, which saved me from circling for ages.
What really hooked me was how the place nails that balance between cozy and upscale without trying too hard. My room on the second floor had these exposed wooden beams overhead – sort of rustic, but polished, you know? – and a view out to a tiny courtyard where birds were chirping away in the mornings. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, with those crisp linen sheets that smell faintly of lavender (they must use some local detergent or something), and the bathroom had this rain shower that made me linger way too long after a day of wandering. Breakfast is served in a sunny little room downstairs – fresh croissants, local cheeses, and espresso that packs a punch – though, well, it could use a few more fruit options if you’re into that healthy kick. It’s not massive, but that’s part of the appeal; only a handful of rooms, so it stays intimate. And location-wise, you’re golden – hop on a bike from the rental shop down on Lungadige San Giorgio (super cheap, like €5 for the day) and you’re at Juliet’s House in under 15 minutes, or just meander through Borgo Trento’s backstreets for hidden osterias where locals grab aperitivo. Noise-wise, it’s blissfully quiet at night, except maybe for the occasional church bell from Santa Maria in Organo nearby, which actually added to the romance.
Look, if you’re after that authentic Verona escape – not the packed hostels or chain hotels downtown – Casa Beraldini is where it’s at. It’s got a 9.3 rating for a reason, and after staying there, I’d bump it higher. Perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to feel like they’ve got their own slice of the city, especially in shoulder seasons like fall when the crowds thin out and the air smells like roasting chestnuts from street vendors. Sure, there’s no pool or spa (it’s a boutique spot, after all), but who needs that when you’ve got the whole historic center at your doorstep? I’d go back in a heartbeat – actually, I’m already plotting my next trip.

The apartment was located in an very nice area with access to public transport and also a nice walkable distance to city center.
It was very clean with 3 very spacious bedrooms. Practical kitchen with all the necessary to cook.
We have enjoyed our stay at Angela's place, especially the day that rained all day long and we stayed reading and watching a film.
Thanks for hosting us,Billy from United Kingdom – 18 August 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was very specious. It was very well designed and fully met our requirements.
What could be improved: More space outside would have been an advantage. The Balcony was adequate for us being a party of 3 but would have been restricted if you had a larger party.Kristine from United Kingdom – 8 May 2023 (10/10)

Angela was very responsive on Whatsapp and guided us all the way through to check in.
What could be improved: It was raining heavily but that is not their fault! 🙂Fabio from Brazil – 26 May 2022 (10/10)

The apartment is truly wonderful. It's spacious and well equipped. The location is also great, as it takes just a 10 minute walk down a beautiful street to the old town, close to the duomo. Our host was very responsive and we had excellent communication. We loved our stay.

As it was a trip with children, the toys in the flat was a nice touch.
