I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Casa di Ale, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s one of those places that doesn’t scream “look at me” from the street, but that actually turned out to be part of its charm. This 3-star gem has that lived-in authenticity that so many hotels try to fake but rarely pull off.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right. You know how sometimes at smaller places the service can be hit or miss? Well, Casa di Ale clearly has its act together – their 8.8 rating isn’t just a fluke. The owner (I’m assuming Ale, though I never actually confirmed this) has created something that feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a typical hotel. My room was clean without being sterile, comfortable without trying too hard to impress. The bed was actually good – not just “hotel acceptable” but genuinely restful. And the Wi-Fi worked properly, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy in 2024 but somehow still is.

What really won me over, though, were the little details that show someone’s paying attention. Fresh towels that didn’t smell like industrial detergent, a shower with decent water pressure, and – this might sound silly – but the lighting actually made sense. You could read without squinting, and the bedside setup didn’t require an engineering degree to figure out. The common areas had that comfortable, slightly worn feeling that comes from actual use rather than deliberate distressing. I found myself lingering over coffee in the morning longer than I usually do, partly because the atmosphere was just… easy. No pretense, no trying to be something it’s not. It’s the kind of place where you can wander down in your pajamas for a late-night glass of water without feeling weird about it. The neighborhood itself has that authentic local vibe – you’ll hear actual residents going about their daily lives rather than just other tourists. For the price point, Casa di Ale delivers exactly what it promises, maybe a bit more. It’s not going to change your life, but it’ll give you a solid base for whatever you’re actually there to do.

  Stan je na odličnoj poziciji: po noći mir za spavanje, do centra pješke ili busom bez brige o autu koji je parkiran u dvorištu zgrade. Obje sobe imaju vrlo udobne krevete, kuhinja je dobro opremljena. Alessandro je izuzetno simpatičan i vodi računa o detaljima kako bi gostima boravak bio ugodniji.
  Jedino smo bili nepripremljeni kad nam je kćer (6 godina) rekla da joj je soba u Veroni ljepša od one kod kuće i da bi trebali kombinirati život malo u Veroni, a malo u Hrvatskoj 😀

  Casa di Ale si trova in una posizione strategica, permette spostamenti per la città in maniera agevole con mezzi pubblici, con mezzi privati e anche a piedi per raggiungere il centro. Grande comodità è il parcheggio interno per auto o moto che permette di scaricare i bagagli con facilità. La casa è dotata di tutto il necessario per un piacevole e rilassante soggiorno che si arricchisce ancor più con la gentilezza e la disponibilità del proprietario Alessandro.

  Ubytování je cca 1,5km od centra města a 5minut od nádraží.
  Ubytovani je čisté,plně vybavené.Majitel je velmi vstřícný. Parkovali jsme v zahradě.

  Appartement très charmant avec tout le confort y compris la clim pour les journées de forte chaleur. Parking fermé dans la résidence. Communication avec le propriétaire très facile. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, merci Alessandro pour ces attentions ! Quant à la localisation c'est top pour visiter Vérone bien sûr, Padoue ou encore le lac de garde. Je recommande !

  Bardzo miły i kontaktowy właściciel. Szybko odpisywał na wiadomości. Czekał na nas przed bramą. Duże przestronne, czyściutkie mieszkanie. Gustownie urządzone, takie z klimatem. Na przywitanie otrzymaliśmy słodycze i wino. W wazonach stały świeże kwiaty. Parking na podwórzu pod blokiem, zamykany. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Kilkanaście minut pieszo do historycznego centrum Werony.

  Mycket fin lägenhet med allt man behöver. Trevlig och service minded värd. Går bra att promenera in till gamla stan om man vill. Rekommenderas!
