What really struck me about Casa Gabry is how it feels like staying at your Italian friend’s family home – if your friend’s family happened to have impeccable taste and actually knew how to run a hospitality business. The owners clearly live and breathe this place, and it shows in all those little details that chain hotels just can’t replicate. I’m talking about things like homemade recommendations scribbled on actual paper (not some generic printout), or the way they remember your coffee preference after day two. The rooms have this lived-in elegance – not magazine perfect, but genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax.

You know what I really appreciated? The practical stuff that nobody talks about but everyone cares about. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property (trust me, I tested it), the shower pressure is solid, and – this might sound weird – but the pillows are actually decent. I’ve stayed in places with marble lobbies and terrible pillows, so these things matter. The breakfast situation is more continental than elaborate, but it’s done right with local products and strong coffee. Honestly, after a few days of tourist-trap dining, sitting down to a simple, well-prepared meal felt like a small luxury. The location gives you that sweet spot of being close enough to wander into the action when you want it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or crowds of tour groups. I actually got some of my best sleep there, which – let’s be real – doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling.

  Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole in questo appartamento .
  Sofia è una host gentilissima e molto attenta: al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato tutto pulito e in ordine, con anche qualche piccola attenzione in più, come le tortine con le merendine per colazione, la macchinetta del caffè e il bollitore con diverse tisane, davvero molto graditi!
  L'appartamento è confortevole, accogliente e ben organizzato.
  Un altro punto a favore è la fermata dell'autobus proprio sotto casa, comodissima per spostarsi facilmente.

  What could be improved: L’unica cosa che magari mi aspettavo una bottiglia di acqua in frigo, per la colazione niente latte se non delle cialde di caffè e the e delle fette biscottate e marmellata. Magari curare un po’ di più questo aspetto.
