Casa Giardini Overview

You know what struck me first about Casa Giardini? It’s one of those places that completely defies its three-star rating – honestly, I’ve stayed at five-star hotels that felt less thoughtful than this gem. The moment you walk through the entrance, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here, from the way the morning light filters through the lobby windows to how the staff remembers your name after just one night.

The gardens (which, obviously, the name hints at) are genuinely spectacular – not in some over-manicured resort way, but more like stumbling into a secret courtyard that’s been lovingly tended for decades. I spent way too much time just sitting out there with my morning coffee, listening to the birds and watching the way the shadows moved across the stone pathways. The rooms themselves have this perfect balance of being updated enough that everything works properly (thank god for reliable WiFi and good water pressure), but they’ve kept enough character that it doesn’t feel sterile. My room had these gorgeous tile floors that stayed cool even during the warmer parts of the day, and the bed – well, let’s just say I slept better there than I had in months.

What really gets me is how this place manages to feel both peaceful and alive at the same time. During the day, you’ll hear gentle conversations drifting from the garden terraces and maybe some soft music from the common areas, but it never gets chaotic or overwhelming. The evening atmosphere is particularly lovely – there’s something almost magical about how the place settles into this golden, quiet mood as the sun goes down. I mean, with a 9.4 rating, you’d expect it to be decent, but this goes beyond decent into that rare territory where you actually start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing too – they’re helpful without being hovering, knowledgeable about the area without being pushy about recommendations. It’s the kind of place where you realize that sometimes the best travel experiences come not from the fanciest or most expensive spots, but from those special places where everything just… works.

Exploring Verona offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Italy’s city of love, from its ancient Roman ruins to its Renaissance palaces and world-renowned romantic literature connections.

  • Moisés from Mexico – 10 August 2024 (10/10)

Very clean and modern, you can tell it’s been renovated recently.

What could be improved: There is nothing to not like. It’s not walkable to the city center, but we parked at the free parking in Porta Palio

  • Anca from Romania – 27 July 2024 (10/10)

Everything was 10+, a very nice experience we've had here.

    What could be improved: –

  • Christene from Australia – 24 July 2024 (9/10)

Spacious, well equipped room and bathroom. Communal kitchen/dining area was clean and also well equipped. Large supermarket within 10 mins walk, multiple bus stops within 5 mins walk.

What could be improved: Nothing. Is out of town so public transport options are extremely limited late at night (particularly if you want to attend the famous Opera) – this is not the accommodation's fault.

  • Andreas from Germany – 30 May 2024 (10/10)

Best apartment I had in along time. Everything perfect.

  • Umartariq from Belgium – 26 May 2024 (9/10)

Everything was good, clean and equipped. The host was available during the check-in, she explained everything and the room was available on time.

What could be improved: The city centre is slightly far but there was good connectivity with bus nearby.
