Casa Letizia all’Arena – Parcheggio e Supermercato Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Casa Letizia all’Arena – Parcheggio e Supermercato, I thought it sounded a bit quirky having “parking and supermarket” right in the hotel name. But you know what? After staying there, I actually appreciate the upfront honesty about what they offer, and it turns out those aren’t just random add-ons – they’re genuinely useful perks.

The location is what really makes this place shine. You’re literally steps away from Verona’s ancient Roman Arena, and I mean literally – you can practically roll out of bed and be at one of the world’s most famous opera venues in minutes. The first morning I was there, I could hear the sound crews doing their early setup for that evening’s performance, which honestly gave me goosebumps. It’s one thing to stay near a tourist attraction, but it’s another to feel like you’re actually part of the neighborhood where all this history happens. The building itself has that classic Italian charm without being stuffy about it – thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet despite being in such a central spot, and the rooms have this comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you want to actually unpack instead of living out of your suitcase.

What I didn’t expect was how much I’d end up appreciating that parking situation they advertise. Finding parking in historic city centers can be an absolute nightmare (trust me, I learned this the hard way in Florence), but having a dedicated spot takes away so much stress. And that supermarket mention in the name? It’s not just marketing fluff – there’s actually a proper grocery store right there, which became incredibly handy for grabbing breakfast supplies and snacks between exploring. The staff clearly knows their stuff too; they gave me detailed walking directions to some lesser-known viewpoints around the city that weren’t in any guidebook I’d read. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works smoothly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location can’t be beat, and those practical touches (the parking, the nearby shopping, the local knowledge from staff) actually matter more than fancy amenities when you’re trying to experience a city authentically. I mean, who needs a spa when you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in five minutes and have aperitivo at a sidewalk café that’s been serving locals for decades?

To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

    The place is PERFECT.
The best experience ever with booking. It’s a brand new decorated 2 bedrooms apartment near the Arena.
We were arriving from Rome and Florence (very tired) and the 2 days stay in Verona (at Casa Letizia) was a bless. It is Quiet place, with air conditioning and all the facilities that we need ( you will feel at home)
And it is Quite near the the Verona Arena and the city center.
There is a supermarket in the same block. If you like to cook this is your chance to take advantage of the Italian marvelous food and prepare s risoto or a pasta.
The apartment is beautifully decorated with racing cars. The books available are unique.
    It’s such an experience
I’ll be back to the Casa de Letizia dell’Arena as soon as possible.

Our stay was wonderful. It was the perfect location to explore Verona and easy access to the train station. The apartment was plenty big enough for our family of 5 and very clean with complimentary water bottles and coffee. Marco met us to show us through the apartment and was extremely helpful and gave us detailed information on the city and advice on an itinerary for our stay. I highly recommend this apartment.

What could be improved: The only thing we didn’t like was very little hot water for all 5 to shower.
