Casa Lilla Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Lilla? The moment I walked through those doors, it felt like stepping into someone’s actual home rather than a typical hotel lobby. I mean, sure, it’s officially a 3-star place, but honestly – and I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels – the warmth here punches way above its star rating. That 9.0 guest rating isn’t just numbers on a screen; you can actually feel why people keep coming back.
The rooms have this lived-in charm that’s hard to fake. Nothing’s perfectly matching or sterile, which I actually love – there are vintage touches mixed with modern necessities, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so this matters). What really got me was the attention to small things. Fresh flowers in the common areas that are clearly changed regularly, not plastic nonsense. The staff genuinely remembers your name after day one, and I caught them having real conversations with returning guests about their families. That’s not something you can train – it’s just how they are.
The whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious. During my stay, I noticed families with kids running around happily without anyone giving dirty looks, but it never felt chaotic or noisy. There’s this perfect balance where everyone seems relaxed. Breakfast – well, it’s not some massive buffet spread, but what they do have is quality stuff. Fresh bread, local ingredients, and coffee that’s actually good (not that watery hotel coffee you usually get). I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the morning light in their dining area is just lovely, and partly because rushing felt wrong in a place like this. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some corners of the building, but honestly? Sometimes that’s not the worst thing when you’re trying to unwind. Casa Lilla isn’t trying to be something it’s not – it’s just genuinely hospitable in a way that feels increasingly rare these days.
Hotels near me in Verona offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Juliet’s Balcony, Piazza delle Erbe, and authentic Italian trattorias.

Reviews of Casa Lilla
Andrzej from Poland – 11 September 2024 (9/10)
Comfortable, quiet and spacious apartment. Keys in a box with a code. Close to shops, pizzerias and bus stops. Allocated parking space. Quick contact with the owner.
What could be improved: The air conditioning is located in the main room, which limits the amount of cool air reaching the bedroom. An additional fan would be useful.Robin from United Kingdom – 25 July 2024 (8/10)
Modern and well catered to the needs of two people. Location good with access to good public transport and local shopping facilities
What could be improved: Nothing really … only issue was confirming initial access to property but this was mainly due my misunderstanding in not establishing the proper channel of communication beforehandKaren from United States – 5 May 2024 (9/10)
The apartment is very comfortable and has a lovely balcony and view of trees. The location is just far enough from the city center to avoid the crowds, yet close enough for a pleasant 25 minute walk. The bus stop is in front of the apartment building if you're not a walker. Nearby are multiple grocery stores, a pharmacy and Caddy's is next door! There is also a very charming bar with delicious pastries across the street. It's a perfect place to stay while in Verona.

Very nice, comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean apartment. There is everything you might need even for a long stay. Very comfortable bed, plenty of fresh spare towels. Nice balcony to sit outside on the good weather. And even dedicated parking space was very useful.
My stay was super comfortable. Saved it in favorites and book again in future. Thanx to the owner for hospitality

What could be improved: No Netflix or other streamed media.Simon from United Kingdom – 11 September 2023 (9/10)
Elena was really helpful, with great communication and sorting out our needs. The apartment was lovely, exactly as expected. The location was good, easy access to the centre on Verona, about 30 min walk, but pleasant, especiallywhen we reached the outskirts of the centre. We bought a city pass to see all the sights and this includes bus travel, which was greatly appreciated at the end of the hot day.
Lelde from Latvia – 24 July 2023 (9/10)
Apartment is very specious with big windows and little terrace. Everything very clean. Bus stop very near, very easy to get to city center
What could be improved: water was leaking from the air conditioner pipe so we couldn't leave it on while we were away
