Casa Mamà Overview
First Impressions
Walking down Via Amanti in Verona’s historical center, you’ll spot Casa Mamà tucked into a charming corner that feels authentically Italian — none of that touristy glitz you find near the main squares. The three-star property has this understated elegance that immediately puts you at ease. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of one of Italy’s most romantic cities, and this place manages to feel both intimate and perfectly positioned without trying too hard.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty spectacular — couples consistently rate it 9.6, and after spending time in the area, I totally get why. You’re a genuine five-minute stroll from Juliet’s balcony and the bustling Piazza delle Erbe, but Casa Mamà sits on a quieter street where you can actually hear yourself think. The neighborhood has that perfect mix of local trattorias and artisan shops that haven’t been completely overrun by tour groups. You know what’s great? You can walk to the Arena di Verona in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t deal with the evening crowds when opera season hits.
The Rooms & Comfort
The accommodations strike that sweet spot between traditional Italian charm and modern comfort. Rooms aren’t huge — this is a historic building after all — but they’re thoughtfully designed with warm colors and quality furnishings that feel authentically Veronese. The beds are genuinely comfortable (always a concern in older European properties), and the bathrooms are updated without losing character. What I really appreciated was the attention to soundproofing; despite being in the city center, nights are surprisingly peaceful.
Daily Life & Atmosphere
There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about how Casa Mamà operates. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll point you toward the best gelato spot that locals actually frequent, or suggest which evening to visit the weekly market. Mornings have this lovely rhythm where you can grab coffee and pastries nearby, then wander the cobblestone streets before the day tours arrive. The whole experience feels more like staying with knowledgeable friends than checking into a standard hotel.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back because this place delivers on what Verona should feel like — romantic, walkable, and genuinely Italian without the tourist markup. The 8.1 rating reflects guests who appreciate substance over flash, and the exceptional 9.7 location score speaks for itself. You’re paying for prime real estate in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities, but you’re getting it at three-star prices with the kind of personal service that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. It’s the sort of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Verona trip before you’ve even checked out.
Verona’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Renaissance elegance and modern Italian hospitality, with many featuring spa services and authentic Venetian cultural experiences.

Reviews of Casa Mamà
Danni from Australia – 1 October 2024 (7/10)
The location is just perfect – so close to key attractions, restaurants and shopping strips but situated on a quiet street away from the chaos and the tourists. It was also easy to get to from the train station via bus. The place was very clean and well maintained. There are two rooms and bathrooms so you may share the apartment with others. The living area and kitchen are shared spaces and we found our neighbours to be quiet. The apartment is located on the top floor so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs as there is no lift. There is airconditioning in the bedroom and shutters for the skylight window which made the room very comfortable.
What could be improved: The bed was big but not the most comfortable. We would have appreciated extra pillows as the ones provided were quite flat and uncomfortable. A minor complaint!Kev from United Kingdom – 20 September 2024 (8/10)

Great location! Really comfortable beds.
What could be improved: Lack of windows and view since on top floor. Very low ceilings and lots of unusable space.Andre from Portugal – 29 May 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: Lot of stairs! After walking the hole day it is very challenging to go home…
There is no indication that the location is inside a restricted zone for cars. We'd rented a car and followed the GPS instructions to the address and suddenly we were inside the traffic restriction zone. At first we guessed we could go because the sign says "except for hotels guests" but later we found out that "not all hotels" are exempt.Davit from Georgia – 23 February 2024 (9/10)
It was best location, very clean and historical building.
What could be improved: Where was no hair dryer, it was a little bit problemEmma from Australia – 11 December 2023 (7/10)

Samantha from Malaysia – 12 May 2023 (8/10)
The property is located in the town area, 3 mins walk to the main town street. It’s around 10mins from the main train station (25-30mins by walking) It’s within walking distance to most of the attractions and top rated F&B. Room is basic but comfy, but toilet is external. They also give the guest a welcome gift.
What could be improved: No elevator, room is at the top floor. So with heavy luggage it will be a problem. Lack communication from the agency/host, questions were not answered promptly.
