Casa Martini Piazza Erbe Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Martini Piazza Erbe? I was expecting just another decent 3-star place, but honestly, this little gem punches way above its weight class. That 9.4 rating isn’t just numbers – it actually makes sense when you’re there.
The location is pretty much perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the heart of Verona rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Piazza delle Erbe, which is incredible in the early morning when the market vendors are setting up and the tourists haven’t descended yet. There’s something magical about grabbing a coffee and watching the whole square come alive – the smell of fresh bread mixing with that slightly damp stone scent that old Italian piazzas have. The hotel sits right in this mix, so you’re part of the action but not overwhelmed by it. Well, except maybe on weekend evenings when things get a bit lively, but honestly, that’s half the charm.
What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to actually care about making your stay work. Check-in was smooth, and they gave me these great little insider tips about timing my visits to avoid crowds at the arena and which side streets to take for the best photo angles. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but everything you need is there and it all works properly, which isn’t always a given with older buildings in historic centers like this. The beds are actually good (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are updated enough that you’re not dealing with temperamental plumbing. There’s decent WiFi throughout, which matters if you’re trying to research your next day’s adventures or upload those inevitable pasta photos.
I’ll be honest, parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but the hotel staff will point you toward the nearest options, and really, once you’re settled, you won’t want to drive anyway – everything worth seeing is within walking distance. The whole Romeo and Juliet tourist trail is right there, obviously, but you’re also perfectly positioned to wander into those quieter neighborhoods where you’ll find the restaurants locals actually go to. Sometimes at night you can hear a bit of street noise, but it’s more the pleasant hum of people enjoying themselves rather than anything disruptive. Actually, it kind of adds to the atmosphere – reminds you that you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile hotel district. For what you pay and where you are, Casa Martini really delivers on that authentic Italian city experience without the premium price tag of the fancier places.

Reviews of Casa Martini Piazza Erbe
Geanina from Romania – 7 February 2025 (10/10)
I really loved the location and the facilities.
What could be improved: Being in the centre, right on the corner to Piazza Erbe it was noisy late in the night from tourists and early in the morning the garbage car.Susan from Australia – 12 January 2025 (9/10)
The location is an excellent base to explore Verona. The apartment is vey clean and very comfortable. Communication with the host, Christian, was excellent,.
What could be improved: We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and I didn't mind falling asleep to the laughter of people out and about enjoying themselves until the early hours. It was annoying for my friend who was kept awake.Persa from Greece – 21 November 2024 (10/10)
The property exceeded expectations, offering all essential facilities for a comfortable stay. Strategically located just 200 meters from the iconic Juliet’s Balcony and a few meters from the famous Erbe Square it provided access to a major cultural landmark. The host demonstrated exceptional hospitality, ensuring prompt and efficient communication throughout. The surrounding area was beautiful, making the stay well worth the investmen and highly recommended for anyone seeking both convenience and charm.

Location was perfect, close to everything and right in Old Town. Our host was very gracious and helpful, giving us recommendations for local cuisine. The apartment was very clean and well organised. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The lift was a blessing as our bags are heavy.
Lisa from Australia – 10 October 2024 (10/10)

The location was perfect, in the heart of the historical district.
A comfortable apartment.
What could be improved: We found it a little noisy with the council workers constantly emptying the bins outside ,but being in the centre I suppose you expect the noise.Julian from New Zealand – 20 September 2024 (9/10)
Spotless, very well kept and probably at the best situation you could be in Verona. Close to everything walking distance with great food and shopping all around

Everything was really on the very high level besides the air conditioning
What could be improved: Italy is becoming a very hot country in summer and it is Jesse say to double check the existence of a good air conditioner before you book the apartment
