But here, you get to wake up to them every morning, which honestly feels a bit surreal.

The building itself has this wonderful old-soul charm that you don’t really get in newer places. The floors creak just enough to remind you you’re in something historic, but not so much that you’re worried about disturbing other guests when you’re padding around at night. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the character intact while actually making everything work properly – the shower has solid pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a tractor starting up. Small victories that matter when you’re trying to decompress after walking around Verona’s cobblestones all day.

The staff genuinely seems to care about what you’re up to, which I wasn’t expecting at a 4-star place. They’ll point you toward the little osteria around the corner that doesn’t have a sign (seriously, you have to know where to look), or mention that the evening light hits the Arena just right if you walk over around 6 PM. It’s that kind of local insight that makes you feel like you’re getting the real version of the city instead of just the tourist highlights. The rooms are thoughtfully put together too – nothing flashy, but everything feels intentional. The beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Plus, with a 9.6 rating, I wasn’t the only one who felt like they nailed the balance between authentic character and modern comfort. Location-wise, you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the middle of the tourist chaos, which is exactly where you want to be in a city like Verona.

  Appartement très propre. Climatisation agréable. Lits très confortables. Emplacement de l'appartement idéal pour visiter. Rue sans voiture et calme. Hôte très disponible pour répondre à toutes les questions rapidement. Nous recommandons fortement.

  I think this is the best property I booked in Italy and I have traveled extensively. The apartment is exactly as the photos provided. The check in process is smooth, you get a code to open the door with. The mattress on the bed is amazing, not too soft and not too hard. Utensils are provided in the kitchen to cook with and they work perfectly. I loved the small balcony and the overall space – it looks smaller but it's actually bigger than the pictures. Very clean, no complaints. Water in the shower works great (sometimes in Italy it either takes a while to heat up or the water pressure is low – no such thing happened here). Host was in contact with us throughout our visit, making sure we have all that is needed. Heating also worked perfectly. It felt like all my worries vanished and I could relax fully. I will come back for sure.
