Casa Perotti Pallone Overview
First Impressions
Walking down the narrow cobblestone streets of Verona‘s historic center, you’d almost miss Casa Perotti Pallone if you weren’t looking for it — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. Tucked away on tiny Vicolo Pallone, this four-star boutique property feels like stumbling upon a well-kept local secret. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way, where elegance doesn’t need to shout about itself. You know what I mean — it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special rather than just checking into another hotel.
Location That Actually Matters
I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but Casa Perotti Pallone actually delivers on that promise. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe — I timed it — and about the same distance to Juliet’s House if that’s your thing. What I really appreciated was how you can slip out for an early morning espresso before the tourist crowds arrive, then duck back to your room when the afternoon heat gets intense. The couples who rate this location so highly (apparently 9.5 out of 10) aren’t wrong — there’s something romantic about being able to wander these medieval streets and always find your way back to this quiet little corner.
The Rooms and Comfort
The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort. My room had those wonderfully thick walls that keep the space cool during summer days, plus updated amenities that actually work — you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in historic buildings. The design feels authentically Italian without being overly themed, if you know what I mean. Air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train, decent water pressure, and windows that open onto the narrow street below where you can hear the gentle hum of local life.
Living Like a Local
What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Verona life. The staff — and I mean this genuinely — seem to actually care about helping you experience the city properly. They’ll point you toward that little osteria around the corner where locals eat, or suggest the best time to visit the Roman amphitheater when it’s less crowded. There’s no pushy concierge trying to book you expensive tours; instead, you get honest recommendations from people who clearly know their neighborhood inside and out.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I totally understand why Casa Perotti Pallone consistently gets such high ratings. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in Verona — instead, it focuses on being exactly what you want when you’re exploring this incredible city. You get that authentic Italian experience without sacrificing comfort, plus a location that puts you right in the heart of everything that matters. Honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Verona rather than just visiting it, and that’s worth way more than any fancy lobby or overpriced restaurant could ever be.
Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

We really liked the location of this place. The late check-in option was very convenient, especially for my travel schedule. Overall, a hassle-free stay!
What could be improved: An extra blanket was missing, which would have made the stay a bit more comfortable. Overall, still a pleasant experience!Galvagno from Italy – 29 September 2024 (8/10)

Perfect location, well equiped flat. with an elevator, what was perfect for the stroler.
What could be improved: everywhere were huge bags full of old loundry, the personel was confused (as we entered the flat the previous clients were still there) and parking ist not possible for a regular car.Nicolas from Germany – 11 August 2024 (4/10)

The apartment was really spacious and fit perfectly for my 3 friends and myself. I loved that there were blinds so we could make the rooms very dark – we slept very well. The kitchen and the living room had everything one could need. Having a washing machine inside the apartment was also a plus. And the owner replied to text messages very quickly and was always helpful.
What could be improved: Very small parking spot, only small cars fit. A few things inside the apartment were partly broken and rather old, but still working.Myrna from Netherlands – 13 August 2023 (4/10)
What could be improved: After hours of driving we came to find unmade beds! Dirty bed covers! And no new sheets or quilts or pillow covers to place on beds. Neither clean towels! We made a complaint and after an hour the host arranged to provide us with beddings. We were about to be delayed for the arena show due to this inconvenience.

I like the location much . The host is helpful enough . The block of apartment is nice , quiet , clean and pleasant .very central 10 min walks to the Are a snd main attractions . Lots of cafe and restaurants to eat in are within walking distance . You can reach to it from the main train station by bus but if you know ahead what is the bus number which pass by that area .
What could be improved: It was a bit difficult to get the hang of the way to get the keys , I think it is my own shortfalls as I am crap with techs.Vladimir from Spain – 1 May 2023 (8/10)
The location is excellent, just in the historical centre and a fee minutes walk from the main sights. The apartment has three rooms, spacious and clean.
The host Francesco is very friendly and helpful.
